Post a fresh HJT log as well.

I'll still need to see the above.

The c drive is still a red x i forgot to mention that b4 sorry!

You'll need to elaborate as I don't understand what you are trying to say.

it did not start aim or my virus program it actually didnt start anything except spybot and windows itself which is fine by me excepti d prefer the virus program to start not run just be there in the background

Reboot the PC and see if things are back to normal after that.
THe computer seems to be running ok i havent got a pop up in a while and after the restart the second time everything started. but i got a error loading C:\windows\system32\cmclhwly.dll the specified module could not be found.

Also the symantec service framework encoutered a problem and had to close now the virus scan is not in the tray but does open when i click on the icon on the desk top

The c drive logo in my computer is a red x rather than the picture of the drive like it usually is

here is my hjt

Thank you sooo much

Also the symantec service framework encoutered a problem and had to close now the virus scan is not in the tray but does open when i click on the icon on the desk top

This may require a Norton reinstall i'm afraid - as a previous Symantec user i've had to do the same a few times, which sucks I know!

THe computer seems to be running ok i havent got a pop up in a while and after the restart the second time everything started. but i got a error loading C:\windows\system32\cmclhwly.dll the specified module could not be found.

Leftover entry that gets it next:

1) You are running HJT from an unsafe location. An easy way to correct this is to do the following:

Download a copy of HJTInstall.exe from here and save it to your Desktop
  • Double click HJTInstall.exe to begin installation.
  • Accept the installation location, which by default is C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis or click the Browse… button if you want to chose somewhere else and then click Install
  • Once HJT has installed, a shortcut will be created on your Desktop and HJT will run automatically.
  • You will need to accept the EULA, if it appears, to be able to use the tool.
2) You will need to disable Spybot's Tea Timer function, if it is running, as it may interfere with this fix. - this is a two step process.
First step:
  • Right-click the Spybot Icon in the System Tray (looks like a blue/white calendar with a padlock symbol)
  • If you have the new version 1.5, Click once on Resident Protection, then Right click the Spybot icon again and make sure Resident Protection is now Unchecked. The Spybot icon in the System tray should now be now colorless.
  • If you have Version 1.4, Click on Exit Spybot S&D Resident
Second step, For Either Version :
  • Open Spybot S&D
  • Click Mode, choose Advanced Mode
  • Go To the bottom of the Vertical Panel on the Left, Click Tools
  • then, also in left panel, click Resident shows a red/white shield.
  • If your firewall raises a question, say OK
  • In the Resident protection status frame, Uncheck the box labelled Resident "Tea-Timer"(Protection of over-all system settings) active
  • OK any prompts.
  • Use File, Exit to terminate Spybot
  • Reboot your machine for the changes to take effect.
3) Run HijackThis as you did to generate a log, but this time click on 'Do a system scan only'.
Place a checkmark in the boxes to the left of the following entries, by clicking on them:

O2 - BHO: 0 - {7EA474E4-EEF8-452E-8595-1464F2AFEA31} - C:\Program Files\ComPlus Applications\rybivomeh918.dll (file missing)

O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [SVCHOST.EXE] C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers\svchost.exe

O20 - Winlogon Notify: gebaayx - gebaayx.dll (file missing)

CLOSE ALL OPEN WINDOWS AND BROWSERS - EXCEPT HJT and click on Fix checked

4) Copy and paste the following into Notepad (Start > All Programs > Accessories > Notepad):

sc stop sysmgr64
sc delete sysmgr64

Save it to your Desktop with the following filename, including quotation marks: "delete.bat"
Simply double click delete.bat to run it and then delete it.

5) You are running an old version of Sun Java which needs updating:
  • Go here and click on the Download button to the right of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6u5.
  • Accept the license agreement by clicking the appropriate radio button and then continue.
  • Under Windows Platform - Java™ SE Runtime Environment 6 Update 5, click the Windows Offline Installation, Multi-language link.
  • Go to Add/Remove Programs and remove any entries that refer to Java 2 Runtime Environment and then reboot your PC.
  • Navigate to and delete the following folder, if it exists: C:\Program Files\Java.
  • Finally double click the installation file that you downloaded earlier.
Once you've done the above, let me another HJT log and tell me what the PC is up to now.
The computer seems tobe runnig ok still no pop ups also no shutdown warnings on startup so you fixed that!!! Thank you!!

But the red x still there! :pullhair:

the virus scan is back in the tray

Thank you!!!!!!!

here is my hjt
