[Closed] Divocodec virus

I recently downloaded a movie off of Limewire. When I tried to play it, a pop-up came up which said that the AVI file could only be played if I downloaded a divocodec player at www.downloadz.divocodec.com. I downloaded this, and more advertisments came up so I realized that the whole thing is a scam. I deleted the program and the movie from my computer, however now I keep getting commercial pop-ups through the Internet every few minutes. I'm not very computer-savvy and I need any help you can offer. Thanks!
