1) Internet Security Monitor (removed this through Add/Remove programs)
2) QDRPACK was now on in Program Files folder (deleted this folder)
3) mrofinu72.exe (I deleted this one too)
4) W32.Trats!inf (found by Norton and deleted but keeps showing up again .... Windows Restore is turned off)
5) Win32.Trojandownloader.Zlob (looks to be rqrrsrs.dll and can't delete this one.
Besides running my usual tools, I tried Vundofix and it identified gebya.dll and deleted it. Norton scans would 12 hours or more instead of the usual 50 minutes. As soon as I noticed what was going on I disconnected from the internet. Haven't reconnected since. While trying to run scans and pinpoint who/what the problem is, I put XP into safe mode vai MSCONFIG. Whe I went back to take it out of safe mode, I discovered that MSCONFIG could not be found. I have thought about simply reinstalling everything and would have except that I can't get some recent files backed up to my eternal drive. I am sure that has something to do with being in safe mode. Also, Norton is pretty much useless now.
I would greatly appreciate any help and or suggestions that anyone might have at this point. Thanks in advance!
