need help removing adssite

hi, i have been getting pop ups on IE & firefox from adssite, this seems to be slowing my internet browsing and making both programes unstable. i have scaned with many anti virus/spyware apps (nortons,avg, spyware doctor, ad aware) i have done this both in normal & safe mode but it just keeps coming back! i also disabled my system restore when scanning and removing. i have seen many different guides to remove this thing but all seem to be different and im not sure which are good and which are a waste of time. PLEASE HELP MANY THANKS
