Here is a HJT file log as of a few mins ago. I am being redirected everytime and some pages are stopping me from going to them. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. ty. You may reply to me in email at or on here see which I get quicker :). I use Firefox as my main browser but I have tried both browsers with the same result of not being able to access a certain site but I can others. the site in question is www.wgme.com. Im able to goto any other site if I do a little trickery to get to it. But this site just wont go. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with being hijacked?

Hello and Welcome to the forums!

My name is Gringo and I'll be glad to help you with your computer problems. HijackThis logs can take some time to research, so please be patient with me. I know that you need your computer working as quickly as possible, and I will work hard to help see that it happens.

Please observe the following while we work:
If you don't know, stop and ask! Don't continue, we don't want to start all over again!
Understand that cleaning your computer can sometimes take multiple passes/posts, and it's important to follow the steps in the order that I give them including re-running scans if needed. If you don't follow the instructions in the order I give them or you try something you read in another post you can reinfect this computer again and we will have to start over.
Please reply to this thread, do not start another.
Please tell me about any problems that have occurred during the fix.
Please tell me of any other symptoms you may be having as these can help also.
Please try as much as possible not to run anything while executing a fix.

As I am still on training, everything that I post to you, must be checked by an Admin or Moderator. Thus, there may be a tiny bit of a delay between posts, but it shouldn't be too long.

If you follow these instructions, everything should go smoothly.

we are currently looking at your log now and will be back as soon as possible with your instructions.

: Download and Run FixWarout
Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:
http://downloads.subratam.org/Fixwareout.exe
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/lonny/Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, then make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish. The fix will begin; follow the prompts. You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.

At the end of the fix, you may need to restart your computer again.

: Remove bad HijackThis entries
  • Run HijackThis
  • Click on the Scan button
  • Put a check beside all of the items listed below (if present):

    O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{78F9DBD3-8E29-4277-A209-DB7111A59A31}: NameServer = 85.255.115.18,85.255.112.77
    O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{BAD60DB9-5E1F-49D0-9ACF-E5F866B7EA05}: NameServer = 85.255.115.18,85.255.112.77
    O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\..\{FDC3958C-D5BA-434E-AFC6-A7642A2CF62A}: NameServer = 85.255.115.18,85.255.112.77
    O17 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 85.255.115.18 85.255.112.77
    O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: NameServer = 85.255.115.18 85.255.112.77

  • Close all open windows and browsers/email, etc…
  • Click on the "Fix Checked" button
  • When completed, close the application.
Now lets check some settings on your system.
(2000/XP) Only
In the windows control panel. If you are using Windows XP's Category View, select the Network and Internet Connections category otherwise double click on Network Connections. Then right click on your default connection, usually local area connection for cable and dsl, and left click on properties. Click the Networking tab. Double-click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item and select the radio dial that says Obtain DNS servers automatically
Press OK twice to get out of the properties screen and reboot if it asks.
That option might not be avaiable on some systems

Finally, please post a fresh HijackThis log, along with the contents of the logfile C:\fixwareout\report.txt
