**EDIT 2**:
Turns out it was some funkiness with sharing a printer on the network. Killing spoolsv fixed everything, and all I had to do was delete the printer in question and everything is back to normal. No idea why I can't be allowed to have a printer on my laptop sometimes, but that's Windows for you.

When I start my laptop and open IE, it takes forever (10+ minutes) to resolve to my homepage. I've noticed that the intel wireless also takes a similar amount of time to initialize and realize it's disabled (I run off an ethernet line at home). Other system processes seem to run similarly slowly like network places properties. Spyboy, etc. also hung during install.

However, firefox loads fine and is responsive and what I'm using now to post, so something fishy is probably left on my system bunging things up.

I ran NOD32 and found a trojan (small) and removed it. I ran all the things prescribed here and AVG found another (I think the same one) and it removed it. I've scanned in safe mode and everything is allegedly cleaned, but IE/etc. still take forever to load the first time. Once they DO load, they work fine and act completely normal, but this initial 10+ minute period means something is still broken.

Any help? I've run out of ideas.

[edit] I just found another symptom: when I try to use the command line to run a program, typing in the box is extraordinarily lagged--one keystroke every second or two, and I have to wait for it to complete before it will accept the execute command. I assume this is related to the IE/other shenanigans.

Help would be GREATLY appreciated!
