Uninstall Deckards System Scanner through Add/Remove Programs.
You may wish to keep hold of the Kaspersky Online Scan as an extra on-demand virus-scanner.
If not you can uninstall it through Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs
Time for some housekeeping
Click START then RUN
Now type Combofix /u in the runbox and click OK. Note the space between the x and the /u, it needs to be there.

When shown the disclaimer, Select "2"
Post a new HijackThis log when you are finished and let me know how the computer is behaving. We will look into the speed issue.
Silly me. Delete the DSS icon from your Desktop, then click on Start>My Computer>Local Drive ( C ) and delete the Deckards folder. If you have already run the Combofix clean up check if there are any Combofix text files left there too and delete them.
I uninstalled combofix by following the steps mentioned by u. But i did not get any disclaimer. I simply got a meassge in the end stating that combofix had been successfully uninstalled. My system is behaving ok. I am posting a new hijack log. Tell me if there is anything else that i need to do. I still have RVAXO, HijackThis and SDFix icons on my desktop. Should i let them be, or should i delete/uninstall any of them?
HJT log:
Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2

MSIE: Internet Explorer v6.00 SP2 (6.00.2900.2180)
Boot mode: Normal
yes remove the SDFix and RVaxo icons but leave HijackThis for the moment. There will also be a folder on the C:\ drive called SDFix, which I forgot to remove with Combofix. Delete that too, and if there is an RVAXO folder there delete that also.
Run HijackThis, select Do a system scan only and place checks against the following entries (if they are still present):
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = http://softwarereferral.com/jump.php?wmid=…6Ojg5&lid=2
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {02478D38-C3F9-4efb-9B51-7695ECA05670} - (no file)
WITH ALL OTHER WINDOWS CLOSED Click on Fix Checked and exit HijackThis, then reboot your computer and post a new HijackThis log.
I can see you have only your anti-virus starting up with Windows, but as there is no sign of malware now, you should try posting in this forum here. They may be able to help speed things up.
Are you having any other problems, such as crashing programs or BSOD's?
No, i am not having any problem of BSOD's or crashing programs….only the speed of the system is an issue….I'll try the link u sent me for that…
Anyway, thanx for helping me out with the virus and spyware problems
