Hello tazz,

Welcome to the forum, sorry for the delay. I am looking at a clean HJT log. What you might want to do is run the free online virus scanner from Panda, its pretty good about picking things up that may not be showing on your log. If it comes back clean than I can link you to some support forums that deal with slow computers as this forum is for malware removal only.

Run Panda's ActiveScan and perform a full system scan. This will only run with Internet Explorer
  • Once you are on the Panda site click the "Scan your PC" button
  • A new window will open…click the big "Check Now" button
  • Enter your Country
  • Enter your State/Province
  • Enter your e-mail address and click send
  • Select either Home User or Company
  • Click the big Scan Now button
  • If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
  • It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It will take a couple minutes)
  • If you are on a slow connection it will take about 15 minuites for the scanner to load.
  • Click on "Local Disks" to start the scan
  • Once scan is done, click "see report" then "save report"
  • Save the log someplace you can find
  • Reboot
  • Post the Panda scan results in your next reply

Post the Panda report and a new HJT log as your current log is 5 days old.

Tazz,

When we ask for reports , we look for tell tale signs of a possible infection, you did not provide the Panda report so i have no idea whatsoever what it removed. So since you provided no report and your HJT log looks clean , there really is not to much else I can do.

I ran the panda active scan it found 39 bit sof spyware

this tells me absolutely nothing

Run this system cleaner , your system may be clogged up a bit.

Download CCleaner from here to clean temp files from your computer.
  • Double click on the file to start the installation of the program.
  • Select your language and click OK, then next.
  • Read the license agreement and click I Agree.
  • Click next to use the default install location. Click Install then finish to complete installation.
  • Double click the CCleaner shortcut on the desktop to start the program.
  • On the "Windows" tab, under "Internet Explorer," uncheck "Cookies" if you do not want them deleted. (If deleted, you will likely need to reenter your passwords at all sites where a cookie is used to recognize you when you visit).
  • If you use either the Firefox or Mozilla browsers, the box to uncheck for "Cookies" is on the Applications tab, under Firefox/Mozilla.
  • Click on the "Options" icon at the left side of the window, then click on "Advanced."
deselect "Only delete files in Windows Temp folders older than 48 hours."
  • Click on the "Cleaner" icon on the left side of the window, then click Run Cleaner to run the program.
  • Caution: It is not recommended that you use the "Issues" feature unless you are very familiar with the registry as it has been known to find legitimate items.
  • After CCleaner has completed its process, click Exit.
*NOTE* CCleaner deletes EVERYTHING out of temp/temporary folders. If you have anything in a temp folder, back it up or move it to a permanent folder prior to running CCleaner!
