[Closed] Winotify.dll Not Wlnotify.dll Is Spyware

Well I saw a closed thread can be a common mistake when reading text WINotify looks like wlnotify.dll (WLNotify.dll)

The WINotify.dll is spyware and the WLNotify.dll is the legitimate software. I saw a wrong posting that was closed a link for the Proceslibray which does clearly distinguish the 2.

OK… I guess don't trust processlibrary.com it appears they want you to get their software to remove it.

I looked further in to it to manually remove. There's a registry key. But WINotify.dll is part of microsoft.

It's part of windows update so leave it intact.

Click the "Save" button.

Please put your HijackThis in it's own folder, (I create a new folder in C:\ named HJT).
You can do a Right Click on any open area on the desktop, New> Folder, then rename the folder HJT.

Open HijackThis and select: Do a system scan and save a log file.

When the scan is finished, Click Edit> Select All> Edit> Copy> and paste its contents here [Add Reply].
