Hi Tuan,

With regards to the game controller that's trying to install, this forum is mainly dedicated to removing malware issues. I did take a look in your HJT log and don't see anything related to a game controller, but that doesn't surpirse me, as that is hardware. Do you have a controller connected? Or did you at one time? What is the name of it?

You will probably need to either post this issue in the "Other Computer Problems" area of the forum or another forum if cannot solve it.

Your HJT log appears to be all clean.

Now that you are clean, please follow these simple steps in order to keep your computer clean and secure:

Reset and Re-enable your System Restore to remove infected files that have been backed up by Windows. The files in System Restore are protected to prevent any programs changing those files. This is the only way to clean these files: (You will lose all previous restore points which may be infected anyway).

Click Start>Help and Support>Undo changes to your computer with System Restore
Select Create A Restore Point then click Next. Give it a name it and then click Create

Click Start>Run and type Cleanmgr
Click the More Options Tab.
Click Clean Up in the System Restore section.

In addition to updating and using what you currently have you may want to consider the following:

Use a Firewall - I can not stress how important it is that you use a Firewall on your computer. Without a firewall your computer is succeptible to being hacked and taken over. Simply using a Firewall in its default configuration can lower your risk greatly. Here are some free and evalutation versions that provide
better security than the Windows Firewall.Sunbelt Personal Firewall
Outpost Firewall
For a tutorial on Firewalls and a listing of some other available ones see the link below:
Understanding and Using Firewalls

Visit Microsoft's Windows Update Site Frequently - It is important that you visit http://www.windowsupdate.com regularly or set your computer to receive automatic updates. This will ensure your computer has always the latest security updates available installed on your computer. If there are new updates to install, install them immediately, reboot your computer, and revisit the site until there are no more critical updates.

Install Spybot - Search and Destroy - Spybot: Search And Destroy with its TeaTimer option. This will provide realtime spyware & hijacker protection on your computer alongside your virus protection. You should also scan your computer with program on a regular basis just as you would an antivirus software.
A tutorial on installing & using this product can be found here:
Using Spybot - Search & Destroy to remove Spyware , Malware, and Hijackers

Install Ad-Aware - Ad-Aware SE You should also scan your computer with program on a regular basis just as you would an antivirus software in conjunction with Spybot.
A tutorial on installing & using this product can be found here:
Using Ad-aware to remove Spyware, Malware, & Hijackers from Your Computer

Install SpywareBlaster - SpywareBlaster will added a large list of programs and sites into your Internet Explorer settings that will protect you from running and downloading known malicious programs.
A tutorial on installing & using this product can be found here:
Using SpywareBlaster to protect your computer from Spyware and Malware

Install SpywareGuard - SpywareGuard provides a real-time protection solution against spyware that is a great addition to SpywareBlaster's protection method.
A tutorial on installing & using this product can be found here:
Using SpywareGuard to protect your computer from Spyware and Malware

Use IESpy-Ad
IESpy-Ad will block access to malicious websites so you cannot be redirected to them from an infected site or email. Instructions for set up and use can be found at the website.

Update all of your Anti-Malware programs regularly - Make sure you update all the programs I have listed and the ones you are currently running regularly. Without regular updates you Will Not be protected when new malicious programs are released.

Here is a great link to a post here on securing your PC after an attack.

Follow this list and your potential for being infected again will reduce dramatically.

Glad I was able to help.
Well, IndiGenus, thanks for the help. My comp is running better than when i started, although i still have those initial problems, which are probably not what you specialize in. It seems to not let me open up any game as it takes full screen. If you know where i can go to get help on this problem, i would greatly appreciate it. Um… as for the hardware, i have no clue where that came from. Probably my brother although i do not see any game controller or anything like it around. Thanks a
What program is it that you can't open? Can't remember if you told me or not but can't find it. Did you just install one of the firewalls I recommended? If the program uses the internet you will likely have to set an exception for it within the firewall, or temporarily disable the firewall (not recommended). There is another section of this forum also called "other computer problems" I believe. I know things have changed around with the new name and all so you may have to look around a little. There are also I'm sure many other forums dedicated to those types of issues.
The program is Rappelz, but also other games arent working when it goes (tries to go) into full screen. I installed sunbelt firewall, and i thought i put a screen shot of it… mustve forgotten to upload it. It just says Intrusion attempt blocked, i try to close it but it keeps popping up again. As for my problem… i guess ill go bug someone else. =P Thank you once again, youve been very helpful and made this much easier. If you can, however, show me how to allow exceptions on the firewall id much appreciate it.
Hi Tuan, I'm away from my main XP PC until tomorrow, which has Sunbelt. I will get back to you on the exceptions later OK? Just closing it doesn't necessarily stop it from running in the background. But if you right click on the little icon in the system tray and exit it (I can't remember the exact wording but it's pretty self explanatory). Windows will then probably warn you about no firewall running which is normal. I know I have to do this occasionally to view certain web pages as it will say "Ad blocked by SPF (Sunbelt Personal Firewall).
Sure thing, for now exiting the firewall is enough. Edit: sorry… last thing. I went to the other comp problems forums and it doesnt allow me to post. Do i need to do something first?
Hi Tuan,

I'm not exactly sure on the Sunbelt Firewall settings but if you open the configuration program. Right click on the shield in the system tray and select Configuration. Go to the intrusions tab and change the settings accordingly.

This link has other links to documentation and help files. If you decide to use the firewall for good you will need to read up on these things and understand what's happening. Something I need to do myself as I've only been using this firewall for a couple of weeks. Each firewall is different and set ups are different. So it does take some learning up front.

Good luck!
