I have a very strange issues:I hope to receive some helps or suggestions.
I run windows XP SP2, Winpatrol 11, Antivirus Kaspersky 7.0 , on a new Asus Laptop, Core Duo 2GHz, 2GB DDR, 160GB, bought 3 months ago.
This problem makes me crazy: I cannot access www.net2phone.com or web.net2phone.com
I usually work in China, so I was keen to believe there was a national firewall, impeding access to this site. Probably (I thought) China wishes to push skype and kill all of its competitors.
But now I am in holiday in Italy. My brother, using his laptop, can access both www.net2phone.com or web.net2phone.com.
I cannot access it. I cannot use net2phone applet to make IP calls (although I should have some credit from 2005 subscription). I cannot reach net2phone support centre.
I can use Skype, but I still have credit on Net2phone, I wish to use it up.
In conclusion, here in Italy my laptop cannot reach net2phone site, my brothers 2 PCs can!
What I did?
- I DO NOT use any proxy, (I have direct access to Internet, both in China and Italy)
1. I disabled all kaspersky (7.0) features (including firewall)
2. unistalled Ad-Aware and kasperky 7
3. disabled windows XP firewall
4. checked any services in WinPatrol Plus 11.3: I found no strange services.
5. killled most of processing from Winpatrol Task Manager
6. run hijackthis (see below for the results)
7.run AVG Anti Rootkit for the whole night > results: no RootKits
8. I have tried with:
- internet explorer 7.0
- firefox 2.0
- opera 9.1
- GoSurf Browser
- Avant Browser
What can I do more? What’s happening to my laptop?
