my computer has gotten slow, and I have a bunch of processes that weren't there a couple weeks ago. I did a Kapersky scan, an apparently i have around 5 trojans  , and some other stuff too. I'd like to get it off as soon as possible.

dopamino, :D

Welcome to Tom Coyote . Sorry about the delay in responding but we are as most times just overwhelmed with logs.

It appears you are infected with the Vundo Trojan, I need you to do a few things.

Download ComboFix from Here or Here to your Desktop.
  • Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
  • When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post the Combofix log and a HiJackthis log in your next reply
Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall

Download VundoFix to your desktop
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
  • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  • When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
  • Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log in a reply to this thread.
Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove. In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button" when VundoFix appears upon rebooting.

Now this is important,
C:\Program Files\Hijackthis\HijackThis.exe<-- Go here and right click on the HJT Icon, (looks like a red stick of dynamite with a plunger) and rename it to Scanner.exe. <-- Don't forget the .exe and post a new log.

I need to see the Combofix log, the Vundo Report and new HJT log renamed please

Lets do this as there is a file that Vundo has not removed. This file may or maynot be on your system

Copy the file with the complete path inside the quote box by highlighting it and pressing CTRL C on your keyboard.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\pmkji.dll

Open up Vundofix

Click on Scan for Vundo
When done, right click inside the white box and click on Add More Files
Paste in the first box what you just copied.
Close Window
Click on Scan for Vundo.
Close out the tool when done.
Paste the report into this thread

Remove this entry with HJT.
O20 - Winlogon Notify: pmkji - C:\WINDOWS\system32\pmkji.dll (file missing)

Post the Vundo log and a new HJT log please

Download Pocket Killbox to your desktop.

Highlight the file with the complete path inside the Quote Box and press Ctrl C on your keyboard.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\pmkji.dll

  • Open Pocket Killbox
  • Go to File > Paste from clipboard
  • Set it to Delete on Reboot
  • Tick the box that says End Explorer shell while killing file
  • If its not greyed out..Click the radio button that say Unregister .dll before deleting.
  • Make sure Single File is selected
  • Click on the Red circle with the white X
  • It will ask you to confirm the deletion...Say yes
  • It will ask you to reboot, say yes
If you get a message "pending operations has been stopped by external process!" then reboot the computer manually.

Remove this with HJT.

dopamino,

Your log looks good.

If you uninstalled Mircosoft Money then remove this entry otherwise leave it be.

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {FDD3B846-8D59-4ffb-8758-209B6AD74ACC} - (no file)

Download CCleaner from here to clean temp files from your computer.
  • Double click on the file to start the installation of the program.
  • Select your language and click OK, then next.
  • Read the license agreement and click I Agree.
  • Click next to use the default install location. Click Install then finish to complete installation.
  • Double click the CCleaner shortcut on the desktop to start the program.
  • On the "Windows" tab, under "Internet Explorer," uncheck "Cookies" if you do not want them deleted. (If deleted, you will likely need to reenter your passwords at all sites where a cookie is used to recognize you when you visit).
  • If you use either the Firefox or Mozilla browsers, the box to uncheck for "Cookies" is on the Applications tab, under Firefox/Mozilla.
  • Click on the "Options" icon at the left side of the window, then click on "Advanced."
deselect "Only delete files in Windows Temp folders older than 48 hours."
  • Click on the "Cleaner" icon on the left side of the window, then click Run Cleaner to run the program.
  • Caution: It is not recommended that you use the "Issues" feature unless you are very familiar with the registry as it has been known to find legitimate items.
  • After CCleaner has completed its process, click Exit.
*NOTE* CCleaner deletes EVERYTHING out of temp/temporary folders. If you have anything in a temp folder, back it up or move it to a permanent folder prior to running CCleaner!

How is your system running now???
