Hello Everyone, Thank you for taking the time to read this post. I really appreciate it. Anyway, sometime within the last week or so my OS went nutty. Through the process of installing new os caused by me trying to fix problems by simply installing a fresh os in a different folder. I have too much stuff to back up and can't format because of it. So i redirected the boot.ini to the new windows folder and all was fine. At around the same time I must have dl'ed a virus. When i boot up it says "this computer may be infected by a virus!" i tried everything and it still comes up. I'm able to run windows and get internet but things have slown down and i can't pinpoint where the problem lies. I have a decent knowledge of XP. I used to do tech support but that really doesn't say much!! LOL. Looking at me I think that says enough. Okay, I ran Hijackthis and have attached the log file. So i guess thats it for now. Once again I can't begin to express my gratitude for everyone at this forum. If there's anyway I can ever be of an assistance please email me and I'll do my best. Regardless of the favor. Thanks in advance.
