After trying to install 3wplayer, My Norton worm protection notified me that there was an intrusion attempt and gave me the message "HTTP LOP Toolbar Activity" I used Norton to partially remove 3Wplayer from my machine and deleted all instances I could of it. However Norton still pops up every 20 seconds on the dot with the same notification. I have run multiple anti virus programs, and spyware programs (Spyware Doctor, Spybot search & Destroy, AdAware, Norton, etc) They were able to detect certain items that were removed. However the same Norton popup has still been bombarding my computer and I am at my wit's end at what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike

Hello g1500 and welcome to the Forums :)

Ok let's have a look.

Please post a HijackThis log to here:
  • Click here to download HijackThis.exe
  • Save HijackThis.exe to your desktop.
  • Create a new folder named HijackThis to your desktop. Move Hijackthis.exe into that folder.
  • Run HijackThis.exe
  • Click on the Do a system scan and save a log file button. It will scan and then ask you to save the log.
  • Click Save to save the log file and then the log will open in notepad.
  • Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
  • Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
  • DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.
