Ya I was browsing some videos earlier today and was told that windows couldn't run it and I needed to download the newest version of Active X. I figured this would be ok since I saw the a program by that name on my old computer, so I clicked ok.

Minutes later I am flooded with windows telling me to download spyware removers. I also noticee a shield icon that changes from X to ? on the lower right side of my screen. I already have Spybot S&D so I ran that and was able to delete all but 1 spyware file "Zlob.VideoActiveXAccess". Spybot S&D tells me the program can't be removed because it's in memory, but might be able to remove it after a system restart. I do so and my system is scanned again. Same file is shown and I get the same removal results.

I use these programs to remove/block harmful stuff: McAfee SecurityCenter and Spybot: Search and Destroy

Hello PhoenixUnity07 and welcome to the TomCoyote Forums

My name is Trevuren and I will be helping you with your problem.


1. Download: RemoveVideoActiveXObject.exe to your desktop.
2. Doubleclick RemoveVideoActiveXObject.exe to start the tool.
3. Most probably an uninstaller will open. Don't close it, but let it proceed with uninstalling.

4. Reboot your computer afterwards.
5. After reboot, doubleclick RemoveVideoActiveXObject.exe once again. Important!
6. Post the log C:\RVAXO-results.log in your next reply together with a new HijackThislog.
