Hi,
I have gotten an extra search bar on the yahoo search page here on my laptop. It has a drop down arrow which shows more options & suggestions. Also when I'm on an internet page that has "go to links"… if I put my cursor over them I get an info bubble showing more info about the link, the bubble appears to be from "msn live search"… upon which I don't use… I have "Yahoo search" as my default.
I've have Ad-Aware, Avast & Windows Defender running… I've scanned with all three & they show nothing.
I appreciate anything you can tell me… I have three pc's all driving me nuts with different problems… my desktop had a "purple bar with red Yahoo letter" for several weeks but it appears to be gone now. Ad-aware, windows defender & avast showed nothing on it either… the bar is just "gone" now…I'll post from that computer later… the video card went blitz two days ago & I need to replace it. The day before that, my husband's computer froze solid while on the internet & I had to unplug it (ctl-alt-del wouldn't work, tried several times, & power button didn't work, so I had to just unplug it & then it wouldn't load windows… had to do a complete recovery…) it now seems okay except it's video card shows a few too many pink bars where there is supposed to be blue ones though… I may be getting two video cards…
