[Resolved]Hijack This Log, Please Help!

Hi, I will post my log file below. Over the last couple of weeks, my laptop has been very slow to respond. HomeSite froze up several times, and I was unable to make it work. Then, when I went to open my designs in Illustrator, where I created them, Adobe Illustrator would not open. I got errors of "personalization / initialization failed / missing". I never had this problem before. Now, my whole Adobe Creative Suite of Illustrator, Photoshop, ImageReady, etc., are unable to open.

Please help, a friend of mine told me about hijack this, but I know NOTHING about this kind of thing (so I will probably need things "spelled out for me"). I did have Ad-Aware installed, and tried to run it, I don't think it went very well.

Thanks very much for any help you can provide.

Hello gnarlyskigirl

Please do an online scan with Kaspersky Online Scanner. You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.
  • The program will launch and then start to download the latest definition files.
  • Once the scanner is installed and the definitions downloaded, click Next.
  • Now click on Scan Settings
  • In the scan settings make sure that the following are selected:
    • Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:

      + Extended(If available otherwise Standard)
    • Scan Options:

      + Scan Archives
      + Scan Mail Bases
  • Click OK
  • Now under select a target to scan select My Computer
  • The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run. Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
  • Now click on the Save as Text button
  • Save the file to your desktop.
  • Copy and paste that information in your next post.

Hello gnarlyskigirl Sorry about the delayed responce, I didnt get a notification e-mail. Anyway the good, or, news is, there isnt a hint of malware in either log. It sounds more like a software or hardware issue, which isnt my field. Start a thread in the "Other Computer Problems" room and someone more knowledgeable than myself will help you out. Locked means the files are protected, normally Windows files.
