Hijackthis Help Needed

My comp has several problems that other virus scans have found/ 947 to be exact only its still running decent, all except that it shuts down and reboots every so often at least 3 times when i first turn it on. i cant figure out how to use hijackthis and i feel really dumb but i really need help and it seems nobody wants to help. i got the log i needed for hijackthis but my ccomp rebooted before i could save how can i retrieve it?? i just want to know how to fix my comp please someone help me??? also a friend has told me that she had found an e mial worm that may have jumped to my comp how can i get rid of it if i do have it, and how do i know? i hope someone can help. email me at [removed] i promise not to e mail back until i know if i have the email worm viruse and dispose of it. or u can post here i wil check as often as i can i really need help. thanks

Howdy elysianpoetess, Welcome to Tom Coyote. Right off you need to not start new threads, as this only causes confusion and extra work making corrections to that. As this one had the most detail I just grabbed it out of the bunch. Before we can do anything you will need to post some information back here. Let's do this and see. 1.Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties. 2.Click the Advanced tab. 3.Under Startup and Recovery, click Settings to open the Startup and Recovery dialog box. 4.Clear the Automatically restart check box, and click OK the necessary number of times. And reboot. Let's see if this stops the shutdown problem. If so, then just open HijackThis again and again and select Do a system scan and save logfile. Use copy/paste and post that log back here for review. No need to worry about any past ones you did. For the forum Gender issue, click My Controls at the top of this page, then click Edit Profile Information. You should see the option for Gender you need.
