Hi all :)

I'm new here and looking for some help (please lol). When I start my PC I get a black popup window which is titled: c:\windows\system32\cmd.exe. It eventually shuts and I can proceed with logging on to my system but I know it needs to be removed. Can someone please assist in this :D any help would be much appreciated.

Here is my HJT log file:

Hello and welcome to the forum.

You may want to print out these instructions for reference, since you will have to restart your computer during the fix.

Double-click My Computer.
Click the Tools menu, and then click Folder Options.
Click the View tab.
Clear "Hide file extensions for known file types."
Under the "Hidden files" folder, select "Show hidden files and folders."
Clear "Hide protected operating system files."
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Please do not delete anything unless instructed to.

Run hijackthis. Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side on these:

O2 - BHO: MSVPS System - {49CF52D7-8D58-4E22-A874-AAD721F5B523} - C:\WINDOWS\ddesupport.dll (file missing)

O21 - SSODL: msole - {7BC90EF0-9F40-4B27-9B42-E64C51AEBC8E} - C:\WINDOWS\msole.dll (file missing)

Close ALL windows and browsers except HijackThis and click "Fix checked"

Delete this File if listed:
C:\WINDOWS\msole.dll

Next:

Please download FixWareout from this site:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lonny/Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts.
You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so.
Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.

Once the desktop loads a text that will open (report.txt) Please save this file, you'll need to post it with a new HijackThis log.

Next:

Now lets check some settings on your system.
Enter your Control Panel and double-click on Network Connections

Then right click on your Default Connection
Usually Local Area Connection for Cable and DSL
Left click on Properties
Double-Click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item
Select the radio dial that says Obtain DNS Servers Automatically
Press OK twice to get out of the properties screen and reboot if it asks

Next:

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
Download - ATF Cleaner»
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

(If you use FireFox or the Opera browser
To keep saved passwords, click No at the prompt.)

It's normal after running ATF cleaner that the PC will be slower to boot the first time or two

Reboot and "copy/paste" the text file (report.txt) and a new Hijackthis log

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
Thanks so much …I will print out your instructions and start. When I am done I will let you know. At the moment my pc seems to be running fine (not even slow) just that weird popup on start up ….be back shortly :)
Sorry for the late response but it turns out I ended up having to restore my PC from the restore disk  I had so many issues that occurred at one time: I lost internet access, everything locked up so badly I could barely navigate around with my mouse, I couldn't even get to my main screen at points. I got so frustrated lol :wall: so I restored the PC to factory settings (considering I keep all my important files and pictures burned on disc). Thanks for your time  and happy spyware hunting
