I'm having alot of problems. I'm getting popups even tho my blocker is on. Found out some how my date was switched to December. It's running kinda slow and laggy. I have roadrunner. They had to come out last week and help because I couldn't get on the net. Found out my mcafee was expired and it was causing problems. I deleted that but am now having problems with alot of spyware. I can't afford to buy any anti virus stuff because of being in the middle of a divorce. I just bought this puter in Feb. This is the most recent HJT done a few minutes ago.
Plz will someone help me???

 Thank you in advance…I really need the help
Lori
Running a PC online without any anti-virus protection turns it into a slime magnet. It can take less than half an hour to load your hard drive with nasties and they leave less willingly than they arrive. I normally recommend a reformat and reinstall to guarantee a clean machine as unfortunately your PC has been very vulnerable. You could have rootkitted files that are adept at hiding, legitimate file that have been infected and security settings that have been lowered to make reinfection easier in future. On the other hand, you might just have the usual suspects and they could go with a little encouragement and all will be well - I just can't say. Do bear in mind that there is a theoretical risk that using the PC for online banking or shopping, now or in the future, could result in identity theft with it's associated consequences - there could be keylogging software installed. If you have while you have been without an anti-virus, i'd notify your bank and credit card companies, eBay etc… just to be on the safe side. Better safe than sorry! If it was my PC, i'd wipe it and reinstall, but you may be unwilling or unable to. I can provide you with links to free software (anti-virus, anti-spyware and firewall) that will enable you to keep your PC clean in future should you wish to reformat, or I can help you clean your machine. The choice is yours, but do give it careful consideration - ultimately it is your PC and you are free to decide for yourself what you wish to do.
ok did a system restore. it helped but where are those sites you were talking about? I have clean up and HJT reloaded already. Thanks, lori
This is How it look after the system restore.

What do I need to get rid of? please help

ok did a system restore. it helped but where are those sites you were talking about?

I don't know what you are referring to - I have re-read my previous post and there is no reference to any sites.
What I wrote still stands so please take the time to read my first post again. When you have done so, let me know what you have decided.
It seems from your post that you want to go ahead with the clean up, but as I can't say for certain that you have understood what I have written, given the above quote, I want you to be clear about what you want.
It has been re installed. it's back to the way it was when I got it from wally world. What i was refering to as site was this comment "I can provide you with links to free software (anti-virus, anti-spyware and firewall) that will enable you to keep your PC clean in future should you wish to reformat, or I can help you clean your machine." I've reinstalled and have down loaded HJT and cleanup. where di i go from here?

It has been re installed. it's back to the way it was when I got it from wally world.

It was this comment that threw me: "ok did a system restore." There's a difference between a System Restore and a Factory Restore - you appear to have done the second.

Anti-Virus

There are three main free anti-virus programs on offer:

Avg Free Edition: Available here.
avast! 4 Home Edition: Available here
AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic :Available here

While you can download them all to see which one you prefer, only install one at a time - running two or more anti-virus programs simultaneously can cause conflicts resulting in less, not more, protection.

Firewall

Although these aren't all the free firewalls available, they are the most common ones, and you'll be able to find plenty of help and advice online if you have any problems:

Zone Alarm: Available here.
Kerio: Available here.
Outpost: Available here.

It is important to note that you should only have one firewall installed at a time, but you can download them all to your Desktop and install each in turn to see which one you prefer.

Understanding and Using Firewalls: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial60.html

I have used both AVG and Zone Alarm in the past, but the choice is up to you.

Some bedtime reading: This is a very good tutorial about keeping your computer safe and secure on the internet.
