I recently got broadband and had difficulty connecting to the internet initially until I ran the network diagnostic which told me I had problems with the winsock provider catologue. Windows restored the default settings and after rebooting everything was fine. Unfortuately this problem keeps recurring and although easy to fix it is very inconvenient to have to fix and reboot each time. I can't seem to pinpoint what causes this winsock problem and I suspect malware or spyware. Hence this request to review my HJT log file. I've also included the network diagnostic report in case this helps.

Thanks a mil…
