Try this….

Open AVG Anti-Spyware by double-clicking the multi-colored box emblazoned with an 'S' in the system tray.
In the 'Resident Shield' section, toggle the AVG Anti-Spyware active protection 'off' by clicking 'Change state' which will then change the protection status to 'inactive'.
If you are instructed to reboot at any time during your cleanup, AVG Anti-Spyware will prompt you as to whether you would like to "Restart the Resident Shield".
Reply 'no' and set it to 'inactive' for the duration of your cleanup.

Mr C,

I looked through the HJT log and see that SDFix did not complete. I rebooted to Safe mode and manually ran the second part of the program:
"C:\SDFix\RunThis.bat /second"

Looks like it completed OK. The log file is posted below along with a fresh HJT log.

Mr. C, I noticed a file that I didn't get deleted before. I have done so now: C:\WINDOWS\hjenhdtA.exe I still can not view hidden files from a normal boot. I have to boot in safe mode and log in as administrator. IE still won't let me reset to default web settings. Kelly
Lets do this……..

SpyHunter is not a program we recommend having on the system.
If you didn't pay for it please uninstall it.

Reboot and …….

We have to delete an item from your registry but we need to back it up first:

Backup Your Registry with ERUNT:

1. Please use the following link to download to ERUNT
http://www.snapfiles.com/get/erunt.html

2. Check the link below for Installing & Using ERUN
http://www.silentrunners.org/sr_eruntuse.html

3. Note: to restore your registry, go to the backup folder and start ERDNT.exe

—————–

Now….

Copy and paste the text below into notepad and save it as fix.reg
Make sure the Save as type field says All files.
Save it to your desktop.

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\StandardProfile\AuthorizedApplications\List]
"C:\\DOCUME~1\\Kaitlin\\LOCALS~1\\Temp\\bl4ck.com"=-
"C:\\Program Files\\WinAntiVirus Pro2006\\Updater.exe"=-
"C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\vexga3me2.exe"=-
"C:\\DOCUME~1\\Kaitlin\\LOCALS~1\\Temp\\149.tmp.exe"=-
"C:\\DOCUME~1\\Kaitlin\\LOCALS~1\\Temp\\148.tmp.exe"=-
"C:\\DOCUME~1\\Kaitlin\\LOCALS~1\\Temp\\win14B.tmp.exe"=-

"C:\\DOCUME~1\\Kelly\\LOCALS~1\\Temp\\5C.tmp.exe"=-
"C:\\Program Files\\LimeWire\\LimeWire.exe"=-

If you did it right it should look like this:
[external image: Posted Image]

Now double click on it and allow it to merge into the registry.

——————

Make sure none of these files exist:

"C:\\DOCUME~1\\Kaitlin\\LOCALS~1\\Temp\\bl4ck.com"
"C:\\Program Files\\WinAntiVirus Pro2006\\Updater.exe"
"C:\\WINDOWS\\system32\\vexga3me2.exe"
"C:\\DOCUME~1\\Kaitlin\\LOCALS~1\\Temp\\149.tmp.exe"
"C:\\DOCUME~1\\Kaitlin\\LOCALS~1\\Temp\\148.tmp.exe"
"C:\\DOCUME~1\\Kaitlin\\LOCALS~1\\Temp\\win14B.tmp.exe"
"C:\\DOCUME~1\\Owner\\LOCALS~1\\Temp\\14.tmp.exe"
"C:\\DOCUME~1\\Kelly\\LOCALS~1\\Temp\\5C.tmp.exe"
"C:\\Program Files\\LimeWire\\LimeWire.exe"

————————

Reboot and……..

Close ALL programs down, leaving ONLY HijackThis running - Click Scan and…..
Place a check against the following items:

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page =
R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =

OK….Please do this:
Download http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/DelDomains.inf and place it on desktop
right click the file and select install, that will reset the zone settings that have been altered

Download: ResetProtocolDefaults.reg
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/ResetProtocolDefaults.reg
Locate "ResetProtocolDefaults.reg"
Right-click and select: Merge (Ok the prompt)

Last…..
Download iereset.inf ….. right click on it and choose install.
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/iereset.inf

———————Also search for a file called iereset.inf
Normally iereset.inf is a hidden file in the C:\windows\inf folder

Let me know, MrC
OK, did everything on the list.
Removed Spy Hunter - OK
Made a backup of Regitry with ERUNT
Built and ran the Fix.reg file
Check for files in the list (only one there was LimeWire.exe, I renamed to LimeWire2.exe)
Rebooted
I down loaded the last three items
Installed DelDomains - OK
Tried to Merge Reset Protocol got the following message:

"Cannot import C:\Documents and Settings\Kelly\Desktop\ResetProtocolDefaults.reg: Error accessing the registry."

Installed iereset
Found iereset.inf at C:\Windows\inf

below is the HJT

OK. Got everything done from Kaitlin's Account.

I can not get an internet connection (IE) from her account now. Also, AIM could not connect, and I could not ping. I can get a connection from my (Kelly) account.

Got it to work. The proxy box was checked on IE and it was pointing at localhost. I cleared the fields, unchecked the box and fixed the entry on HJT. Everything seems to be working OK with it now. Kelly
OK, that's good….the logs look OK except for those items in your log that won't go away.

Where do we stand now….what problems remain?

Let me know…..I'll get back to you tomorrow, MrC
OK…we have to take care of those 015s and R3 in your log though.

Please do this for me.

Go to Start > Run > copy and paste each one of these in (one at a time) and click OK.

They will produce the following text documents in "C" look for them there. Copy and paste them back here. MrC
