Internet download speeds vary widely.
What makes the difference?
-Distance
-Network of hops
-Current traffic at either/both ends
-General traffic on the backbone machines in the hop links.
There are several good online internet connectivity speed/Ping/packet loss test sites.
Most have alternatives to test closer and more distant responder locations.
The Pit site is about 11,000 miles East of you, while the Amsterdam site is approximately 13,000 West of you.
There may be little if any commonality of backbone routing between the two.
What's imporant is that you have your machine and ISP connectivity clean and well configured.
You have good right to be pleased with the result of your hard work.
