Acrobat Iehelper Error- Need Help

Hi, my brother's machine has this problem. Basicly, every few minutes or so, an error will come up and interrupt what he's doing. it says the following:

Acrobat IEhelper: iexplore.exe-application

The instruction at "0x01b832te" reference memory at "0x01c0247c". the memory could not be "read"

Runtime error 216 at 01b832fe

Now, i know i need to do hijackthis, but i don't know what to look for. here's the log:

Hello and Welcome to the forum.

I need to get a file you have to be checked out.

Double-click My Computer.
Click the Tools menu, and then click Folder Options.
Click the View tab.
Clear "Hide file extensions for known file types."
Under the "Hidden files" folder, select "Show hidden files and folders."
Clear "Hide protected operating system files."
Click Apply, and then click OK.


Please do not delete anything unless instructed to.

Hi, Thanks for the file, it certainly contains suspicious behavior, but not recognised yet by any scanner. Can you also upload next samples please to the same link LDTate posted previously - since they *look* related? C:\WINDOWS\system32\HPHQ8.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\HPAware.exe C:\WINDOWS\system32\iehelper3.dll Thanks. Then LDTate will take a further from here. I also recommend you change your passwords from another clean computer.

not anymore. He couldn't on me to get to it on my off time and he went to Geek squad (ugh <_< ). It looks like they got it, but im not so sure. So yea, im just going to write it off. Sorry to waste your time :unsure:
