I just set up my new computer (Windows XP Pro) and apparently downloaded a hijacker along with one of my programs. About 70% of the time when I try to log onto the internet using Internet Explorer, I get hijacked to a Chinese language website, apparently called Vnet 114.

This hijacker is persistent. no matter what URL I enter, it adds:

http//keword.vnet.cn/errhint.html?kw= (In front of the address I type)

And I instantly see the Chinese Website. ( I am impressed with how quickly this website connects and opens,) but since I can’t use it, this whole business if very annoying.

Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated. My Log File follows:

Thank you L.D. Tate. Thank you for your advice. I followed your instructions, seemed pretty easy and I am not sure what it did, but my hijacker has not shown up for a week now so I feel sure that my problem is solved. I sincerely appreciate your help and advice. Linus
