Not sure if I'm totally clean

I Run Bitdefender as my usual virus scanner and Spyware Dr but so does a friend who erecntly managed to get a few things on their PC so I thought I would to see if my PC is clean or not.

I tried to run F-secure online scan but after 7 attempts it continually crashed (along with my PC) even though I diabled my bitdefender.
I ran Kapersky online and it found several - a Trojan and autodialer I think but wouldn't let me delete unless I downloaded the trial so I deleted the files (downloaded files) manually.

I have since downloaded Kapersky and run it along with AVG -spyware and have kept logs. I think they point to viruses in my restore points only now.

I wonder if someone would be kind enough to check my Hijackthis log to see if I have managed to get rid of everything (which I doubt).

I hope i haven't made anyones job more difficult as that was not the intention - I know you are very busy so thought i would try to clear out what I could within my own limits.

Looks good to me.

This will get rid of the ones in restore points:

Turn off System Restore:

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Restart your computer, turn it back on.

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Remove the Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Thanks again for your help. Is there any reason why my own (paid for virus/spyware scanner is missing these)? I have to be honest and say that the ones I deleted manually were within zipped files (so were not technically "out in the open" yet but it concerns me that what I thought were good products (and I paid good money for) haven't picked them up and I would never have known I had them if I hadn't been curious enough to try other products recommended by this site - eg:AVG antiSpyware and online scanners. Can you recommend antispyware scanners or will they all miss something and is it a matter of using several means of catching them out? Anyway thanks again for your help...I'm off now to the classroom to begin learning how to help others

There isn't any one program that does it all.

If you dont have any programs like these, I would recommend that you get them.
Spywareblaster,
Spywareguard.


Also get a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.

Only run one Anti-Virus and Firewall program.

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.

Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on. Both are available below.

Do not use Ad-aware if you have McAfee's VirusScan and AntiSpyware

Bitdefender - is supposed to be a Firewall, Antispyware, Antivirus and Antispam all in one and I have Spyware Dr too both of which I run regularly but obviously I'II need to review this. Anyway I better let you get on fighting spyware and I beter get to bed as it's 0230 here in Scotland. Thanks again
