I'm new to the forum, and thanks for taking the time...
A friend is running WIN2K (all updates & SP's) and whenever he goes to Google for a search and clicks on the search results he gets redirected to any number of shopping sites. I've scanned with SpyBOT & Ad-Aware, including in safe mode, to no avail.
I've scanned the registry for startup and a few other keys. Looks OK except a key called 'Zones' under Internet Settings that contains hundreds of sites, many of them nefarious. I'm a little hesitant about deleteing them until I do some more homework.
