hi ernmyster, woops, shelf life missed one. do this to show all files: FOr XP: on the desktop double click my computer,go to tools>folder options>view> then select "show hidden files and folders", then UNcheck "hide protected operating system files " also UNcheck "hide extensions for known file types" click apply to all folders, apply then ok next: scan with HJT, put a checkmark beside the items below, close all windows and click fix checked. O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [gdimx] c:\windows\system32\gdimx.exe /nocomm ————————– last: see if you can locate and delete this file: gdimx.exe located here: c:\windows\system32 ————————— reboot computer once, rescan with hjt and post anew log please. shelf life

thanks for the info.
look in your add/remove programs panel and uninstall the following if present:

errorsafe (thats a rouge spyware remover, "finds" stuff then want s you to pay for removal)
p2pnetworks of maybe MediaPipe P2P (delivers popups to desktop)

afterwards please reboot computer once.

hi ernmyster, these two: errorsafe p2pnetworks are still in the log. did you see them in the add/remove programs panel, if so did you uninstall them? shelf life

hi ernmyster, ok thanks for the info. lets do this: scan with HJT, put a checkmark beside the items below, close all windows and click fix checked O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [MediaPipe P2P Loader] "C:\Program Files\p2pnetworks\mpp2pl.exe" /H O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [] "C:\Program Files\ErrorSafe Free\uers.exe" /min last look in C:\Program Files for these two folders and delete them. p2pnetworks ErrorSafe Free shelf life
