There isn't a free call for people who buy a computer with XP already installed. But I was able to go on a chat with a HP tech who was able to fix my system. I thank you very much for all your help!!!!

Glad to hear it, although I see no reason why having XP installed would make a difference, since this is dealing with IE7 (for which XP is a prerequisite). You're welcome for the help, do you happen to know what HP did to fix your system? Ax

They had me run a program that rewrote all the registry permissions as far as I could tell. They had to walk me through it step by step and I did not understand all of what I did!!! One other question, now that I have IE7 downloaded I can no longer sign into my ebay because it says the browser is not excepting cookies. I went into internet options security and had it except first party cookies but I still can't sign in, any ideas?

Do the following and tell me if it helps:

• Click Tools|Internet Options
• Click on the "Privacy" tab
• Click the Default button
• Click Apply and then OK

Actually it did not. I had to go to internet options and on the privacy tab clicks sites, then find ebay listed under managed websites and remove it.
