Hi blazenky

Your version of HJT is outdated

OK, the first thing I need you to do is as follows

Download a copy of HJTsetup.exe from here and save it to your Desktop.
  • Double click HJTsetup.exe to begin installation.
  • By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
  • Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the Select Addition Tasks dialogue.
  • Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
  • Continue to follow the prompts from there.
  • When HJT opens, click on the Do a system scan and save a log file button.
  • When HJT has finished scanning, a window entitled "hijackthis.log" will open - when you close this window the log will be saved into the hijackthis folder.
  • Copy and paste this into your next reply.

Thanks dan
Thank you had looked and all i could find was the 1.99.0 version i knew there was another version, anyway here ya go….

Hi blazenkyand welcome to Tom Coyote forums

I am currently looking over your log. As I am an Undergraduate, everything that I post to you must be checked by an Admin or Moderator. Thus, there may be a tiny bit of a delay between posts, but it shouldn't be too long. I will post back shortly with a potential fix.

Thanks for your patience!
dan
Hi there umm ok i am jst a to embarrassed to do this actual no I'm not I DIDN'T DO IT! But I'll get to the point, was taking a look inside my tower(i am an amateur tech,I can build a PC and make it run correctly given the right software)anyway i noticed 2 clamps laying on the bottom of the inside…i asked my spouse(whom is never to touch in there)who loving replies"oh i wondered what they where but you weren't around so i put the side back on AFTER"he had used 3M Dust Remover"he had cleaned it,and jst forgot to tell you" I got to looking around and sure enough opened the fan shroud and the heatsink falls to the bottom. all i need to fix my "it jst shuts down" problem is a new bracket and some thermal compound. however i do still have this advertismen thing going on,i literally have to open 2 tabs #1 to do the initial search #2 to copy and paste the results and if i don't do this i end up at some shopping website that i am stuck at,there is no go back because of the redirect loop i am in so i have to click and research on the 1st tab. you can see all the different software i have tried, and i have went to the website that says it has the un-installer. Thank you for helping me by looking at this log,and hopefully you'll understand when i say sorry for the whole cleaning/heatsink ordeal…It wasn't me :D
Hi blazenky

Your lucky that your CPU ain't dead!

Optional - VIEWPOINT MANAGER
Viewpoint Manager is considered as foistware instead of malware since it is installed without users approval but doesn't spy or do anything "bad". This will change from what we know in 2006 read this article: http://www.clickz.com/news/article.php/3561546
Additional info:http://vil.nai.com/vil/content/v_137262.htm]Here
I suggest you remove the program now. Go to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the following programs if present.
  • Viewpoint
  • Viewpoint Manager
  • Viewpoint Media Player
  • Viewpoint Toolbar

To provide a satisfying consumer experience and to operate effectively, the Viewpoint Media Player periodically sends information to servers at Viewpoint.
Each installation of the Viewpoint Media Player is identifiable to Viewpoint via a Customer Unique Identifier (CUID), an alphanumeric identifier embedded in the Viewpoint Media Player.
The Viewpoint Media Player randomly generates the CUID during installation and uses it to indicate a unique installation of the product. A CUID is never connected to a user's name, email address, or other personal contact information.
CUIDs are used for the sole purpose of filtering redundant information. Each of these information exchanges occurs anonymously.'
Your call.

Hi blaze, my apology for delay ,my email notification some how missed letting me know you had posted. hope not to keep you too long. regards dan :(
Hi blazenky

You don't appear to be running an antivirus program

Before we go any further lets secure your computer to avoid any further risk of infection

There are many antivirus products out there
and at first
with there being so many different products it may look confusuing to you
some are free products and others are fully licienced products. It is up to you which you go for. For free antivirus product I would be looking at either Avast Home edition or AVG Free edition AntiVir Personal Edition
If you are going to be looking at fully licienced software then I would seriously consider either Nod32 or kaspersky Antivirus products
AVG Anti-Malware
all are excellent in their job of keeping viruses at bay.

Your zone alarm firewall appears to be a leftover, did you uninstallit at some point? If that is the case you have no firewall.
These programs are essential to prevent you from getting reinfected:

I can not stress how important it is that you use a Firewall on your computer. Without a firewall your computer is susceptible to being hacked and taken over. Simply using a Firewall in its default configuration can lower your risk greatly. For more info, check http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial60.html]This webpage out. Two free ones available for personal use:

o Kerio Personal Firewall
o ZoneAlarm

Without these programs, you will be quickly reinfected, and we would just be wasting our time trying to clean your computer.

Note! you only need one a\v and one firewall running on your system.

Hi, blazenky, Can you post the scans that I asked for and another HJT log, your post seem to cut the top half off. I need to see the scans before I can give you the all clear. Many people get to this stage and because things are running ok, they then seem to give up posting, just when were about to do the final tidy up. So stick with it, your doing fine. Thanks dan
