Hi,

I've been having some problems with spyware on my parents computer as its been running really slow.

I've followed the instructions on the self help page (which are great by the way!), loaded and run all of Spybot, Ad-aware, AVG Anti spyware, and Tribune cleaner as stated.

Now I have a AVG and hijack this log which need looking at as its still running quite slow.

Please advise as to anything else that can be done to rid the computer of these menaces.

p.s can you recommend a good anti-virus solution alternative to Panda, which is curently on the computer? It really seems to slow things down!

…and I forgot to mention that I ran a Panda scan again and there are still 2 spywares in the system. They just keep coming back. Please can someone help us it is really frustrating!!

Hi LDTate, Thanks for your reply. On the scan, Panda just stated they were in the system and that it deleted them…no specific loaction. Would there be any hint in my hijack this log?

This is all I see. Nothing bad.

Run hijackthis. Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side on these:

I've done that and hopefully it will do the trick. If it happens again on next scan I'll make a note and post it again. Thanks for your help. Any ideas on the anti virus front? Do you advocate Panda or any other one?
