Hello imadriz and welcome to the TomCoyote Forums! :wavey: We apologize for the delay in responding. We are swamped with requests and some topics do get overlooked at times because of it. Are you still having problems? If so, please give more details as to what exactly happens and when. What you were doing, which programs were running and so on, would help troubleshoot the problem more efficiently. I see you are running VMWare and a number of different security related programs. Norton, McAffee, Kaspersky all are in the same category (Anti-Virus). I would strongly advise you to disable all but one. If Kaspersky is the paid version, I would suggest you keep it. These programs often conflict with each other and can often use up valuable resources. Not to mention their effectiveness can also be limited if each is trying to gain the war for control of the machine's security. VMWare is a virtual machine manager, if you are running a Virtual Machine, you must take that into account as it will require more resources. Having said all of that, most times when a computer restarts on its own (which is what I think you are trying to describe), it is caused by overheating components. Overheating can occur for various reasons. One of which would be excess load on the CPU or Graphics Card. Make sure to clean the computer of dustbunnies. Dust accumulation can sometimes lead to lack of air circulation and cause the internal components of the machine to overheat. If overheating is the cause, cleaning the air vents/fans/heatsinks in the case might just be the solution. But having so many processes running is a disaster waiting to happen… Hope this helps,
Thanks Galadriel, I removed McAffe and Norton long time ago. Kaspersky is the antivirus I current use. I will remove VMWare because I don’t use it any more. And I will check the overheating. Thanks Ivan
