This could be a bad file. ADS file is a file created (bad or good) that piggybacks on another file. You cannot see it but it is there. Do you play Mah Jong?

I did empty the recycle bin. I have no idea where the others came from. I'm going to delete them from the folder.

I would delete the files in this folder
C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator.COM1\.housecall6.6\Quarantine\<=files within

I deleted all the files in the quarantine folder.

I still do not see an anti-virus application in your hijackthis log. AVG anti-spyware is a supplement.

I'm not getting any AV protection until I get this mess straightened out. Then I'll get the AV software.

You are complaining about speed. This checks other things.

Yeah it still takes about 10 minutes to boot up fully. Even after defragmenting the hard drive. Also some programs take awhile to start.

Hijackthis Start-up List
  • Run HijackThis, click on Open the Misc Tools Section.
  • click on Open Uninstall Manager.
  • Click on Save List and save uninstall_list.txt to your Desktop.
  • Open this file in Notepad and copy/past the content in your reply.
  • Click back (the one located at the right side of the save list button)
  • Put a checkmark in List also minor sections and List empty sections.
  • Click on Generate StartupList log, anwser Yes

Hi Flash Gordon,

Try this please.

Go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall SpyBot
Delete the Spybot folder
C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy<=folder
Download and reinstall SpyBot but do not use the TeaTimer option

It's too late. I've already formatted the drive and started over with a fresh copy of XP pro. Thanks for the help. It was most appreciated.
