I believe it to be a false notice but wonder if anyone else has had the same issue.

Most likely a false positive. I know that some people have had issues with Norton flagging it in the past but (in my opinion) the link is clean
Unfortunate first post.
I agree,happened again,ignored.
Good article..clearing the cache ! not tried that one..something new to try already.
Reading the post's,especially malware section, has helped make my mind up to enrol on a course, gain qualification(s) and
enter into that particular aspect of computing.
Even though i am 'getting on ' in years.
PS..another for Norton.

Not at all. Its always good to be cautious and ask questions first if you are not sure. Thats what this site is all aboutUnfortunate first post
WTT has its own Classroom that specialises in teaching Malware Removal. If you wish to submit an application to join the WTT Classroom you can do so here: http://forums.whatth...showtopic=80368Reading the post's,especially malware section, has helped make my mind up to enrol on a course, gain qualification(s) and
enter into that particular aspect of computing.
The course offered does not confer any "official" qualification as stated:
Having said that however, the Teachers at WTT are all very knowledgeable and have fantastic skills. They are (quite literally), amongst the Very Best malware fighters to be found.this course is not provided in the context of extra curriculum for those in pursuit of a degree, for example in computer science

Thanks for your replay,
I have read the terms etc in the link you posted.
My query would be regarding the computer knowledge required, whilst i have used a computer for a number of years i am not too advanced in terms of problem solving.
My intention was to enrol in an distance learning course, for reasons of flexibility (night worker) and develop more practical skills in usage and technical knowledge before embarking on that aspect, malware/security ,which has piqued my interest for so long.
Another query, would an application refusal at this point be considered final ie would it prevent a future application.!??

Some good questions there, although I feel we have wondered off-topic a little (my fault).
All levels of computer knowledge are accommodated. The classes are carefully structured and are specifically designed to ensure that all students reach the same level of ability, regardless of previous computer experience. My query would be regarding the computer knowledge required
That would really be a matter to take up with the classroom administrators.would an application refusal at this point be considered final ie would it prevent a future application.!??
If you are interested in learning about malware removal I can only encourage you to apply.
Best wishes
