Gamecolony hijacked

Hello,
Please please can you help me.
When I try to sign in to http://gamecolony.com/ everything is fine until I log on then this takes over

it takes me to a monster.com page, which I was looking at a few days ago, or at least I believed it was monster.com. I would be greatful for any help you will be able to give me. I did every thing you sid to do first. My next step is to jump out the basement window.

Hi Anne and welcome to Tom Coyote

I am not looking at anything real bad on your log, lets just try cleaning you up a bit and see if this corrects it.

Close any instance of Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer.
  • Go to Start> Control Panel> Internet Options . You shoud be on the General Tab
  • Delete Cookies
  • Delete Files > and offline content as well
  • Then go to the Programs Tab and Reset Web Settings

Then run this cleaner

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
  • This program is for XP and Windows 2000 only
  • Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
  • Under Main choose: Select All
  • Click the Empty Selected button.
Your system may start up slower after running ATF Cleaner, this is expected but will be back to normal after the first or second boot up


  • Your Java is out of date and leaving your system vulnerable.
  • Go to your Add-Remove Programs in the Control Panel and uninstall any previous versions of Java (J2SE Runtime Environment)
  • It should have an icon next to it:
    [external image: Posted Image]
    Select it and click Remove.
  • Reboot your system.
  • Then go to the Sun Java website and download and install the update.
  • Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 10 <–This is what you need to download and install.
  • If you chose the online installation, it will prompt you to run the program.
  • If you chose the offline installation, you will be prompted to save the file and you can run it from wherever you saved it.
  • Then after install you can verify your installation here Sun Java Verify
I like to to do the offline installation and save the setup file in case I may need it in the future


Reboot your computer and see if any of the above helped. Post a new HJT log and lets see if anything else shows up.
