help with lopdotcom

Hi there!

I was cleaning my girlfriend's laptop and SpySweeper found 2 "items": LOPDOTCOM and UFP MATEWATCHER. Usually I remove things manually, but I havent been able to do it with lopdotcom. I can't find it in the registry, so I googled it and found some people with the same problem. Maybe you have solved it already, but I looked in many threads in different forums and I couldn't find the answer. So, if you're so kind to help me, I'll be gratefull. Happy New Year to all of you.

Hello and Welcome to the forum.

I suggest you do this:

Please Download NoLop to your desktop from one of the links below…
Link 1 http://www.spywareedge.net/nolop/NoLop.exe

First close any other programs you have running as this will require a reboot
Double click NoLop.exe to run it.
Now click the button labelled "Search and Destroy"

When scanning is finished you will be prompted to reboot only if infected, Click OK
Now click the "REBOOT" Button.
A Message should popup from NoLop. If not, double click the program again and it will finish Please Post the contents of C:\NoLop.log along with a fresh HijackThis log

–If you receive an error, "mscomctl.ocx or one of its dependencies are not correctly registered," please download mscomctl.ocx to your system32 folder then rerun the program.] –

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.

Thanks for your fast reply! Before I saw your advice, i noticed taht messenger plus was installes with the sponser (strange, 'cause I've been using msgPlus for years now and I had NEVER installed the sponsor before, I'm always carefull there). Anyways, I uninstalled the sponsor, and after that neither spysweeper nor nolop found nothing. So yhat ir fixed…now I'll focus on matewatcher…thanks for your help.
