Need help with weird startup/IE problem

Ok this is the problem. I am getting a weird startup message when i bootup and my icons on my toolbar are not there when I start up even though they are enabled. While typing this message the first time I have also found out that my IE will randomly close without any notice. Other then this, it doesnt seem to doing anything to strange. When I boot up in safe mode, the window does not show up. Following are a screenshot of the popup and my hijack this log file

Hi ethycsand welcome to Tom Coyote forums

I am currently looking over your log. As I am an Undergraduate, everything that I post to you must be checked by an Admin or Moderator. Thus, there may be a tiny bit of a delay between posts, but it shouldn't be too long. I will post back shortly with a potential fix.

Hi ethycs

Download "FindAWF" from http://noahdfear.geekstogo.com/FindAWF.exe

Save to desktop and run. Output is to awf.txt

If a DOS window does not stay open throughout the search (approx a minute) you need to change how the program runs. Heres how:

1. Locate the file
2. Right-click and select Properties
3. Select Compatibility and select Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows 98/Windows ME and click OK.
4. The tool should now work.

Your Java is out of date Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system.
Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update.

Updating Java:
  • Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6.
  • Scroll down to where it says " Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6".
  • Click the "Download" button to the right.
  • Check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement".
  • The page will refresh.
  • Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation with or without Multi-language and save to your desktop.
  • Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
  • Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
  • Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
  • Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
  • Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
  • Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
  • Then from your desktop double-click on the download to install the newest version.
