Hi Kath,
Firstly sorry for missing your last post.
Secondly, thanks I had a great time skiing.
Thirdly, your HJT log is still showing clear, so no new things to deal with.
OK, now to the bad news. I'm not sure there's anything I can do to resolve the MP3 tag problem, this appears to be some side effect of the infections you had, which has somehow corrupted things.
It does not appear to be something that any of the other helpers has seen before. I did ask around earlier, but have not received any information which would enable me to give you any positive hope on resolving your problem.
I can ask around again if you wish, but I cannot give any assurance that we'll get any further than where we are at the moment.
Let me know what you want to do.
Gary.
PS. On a totally unrelated issue. You need to update your version of Java.
Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can and are using to infect systems.
Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components.
This will obviously not affect the MP3 issue, but will improve the security of your system.

Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can and are using to infect systems.
Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components.
- Close any programmes you may have running, ESPECIALLY your web browser
- Click Start > Control Panel.
- Click Add/Remove Programs.
- Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE) in the name.
- Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
- Repeat as many times as necessary to remove all versions of Java.
- Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
This will obviously not affect the MP3 issue, but will improve the security of your system.
