my computer is running very slow

My computer takes quite a while to load things. Everything just seems to be running slow. Also, I get an error message box that appears as Windows XP is loading and the main screen appears. It says "error loading D0CE0C16B1. the system cannot find the file specified". Once I close the error box, the system runs fine. Is something wrong or should I just keep closing the boxes and forget about it?
