Hello and Welcome to the forum.

I suggest you do this:

Double-click My Computer.
Click the Tools menu, and then click Folder Options.
Click the View tab.
Clear "Hide file extensions for known file types."
Under the "Hidden files" folder, select "Show hidden files and folders."
Clear "Hide protected operating system files."
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Please do not delete anything unless instructed to.

Close ALL windows and browsers except HijackThis

Run hijackthis. Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side on these:

R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {E59C593E-4FA4-0484-DA49-32EE773DBA7E} - forces_elite.dll (file missing)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Logtime] "C:\Program Files\Logtime\Logtimew.exe" -m

Close ALL windows and browsers except HijackThis and click "Fix checked"

Delete these files if listed:
C:\Program Files\Logtime\Logtimew.exe
EXE32EXE.exe

No need to download again but please run it.

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
Download - ATF Cleaner»
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

(If you use FireFox or the Opera browser
To keep saved passwords, click No at the prompt.)

It's normal after running ATF cleaner that the PC will be slower to boot the first time or two.

Next:
Click Start> Run> type in CMD tap enter key
Copy/Paste: ipconfig /flushdns

Now lets check some settings on your system.
Enter your Control Panel and double-click on Network Connections

Then right click on your Default Connection
Usually Local Area Connection for Cable and DSL
Left click on Properties
Double-Click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item
Select the radio dial that says Obtain DNS Servers Automatically
Press OK twice to get out of the properties screen and reboot if it asks

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new HijackThis log file into this thread.

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
Thanks for your prompt help, but I still have BXNU??

You have cleared up my Lineone email account which was not working previously, but my main account Tiscali (Broadband) is unfortunately still not working. (I should mention that I was previously able to access my BTInternet email acount with both JUPK & BXNU problems).
For your information the Logtimew.exe was for a web timer called LogTime used for sentimental reasons.

Otherwise the PC seems to be working OK. I attached the new HiJackThis log for your information and help once again, hoping you can solve the problem.

Again thanks for your prompt reply. Unfortunately on returning to XP after the AVG run in Safe Mode, BXNU is still popping up.

Reference LogTime I can easily reload it at any time but thanks for the information.

I have AVG v7.5.430 fully updated. On opening the 'Scanner' button it immediately starts to scan the computer, I tried to look for the "Settings" tab, "Recommended actions" and "Quarantine" and "Reports" etc. but could not find them any of them?

However, the completed full test the "Event History Log" shows that it found 1 infected file whilst in "Safe Mode" - which was cleared, details given below:-

Please let me know if you get any error messages.

Click Start> Run> type in CMD tap enter key
Copy/Paste: ipconfig /flushdns
If you are typing this in, note the space between the g /f
It needs to be there.

Now lets check some settings on your system.
Enter your Control Panel and double-click on Network Connections

Then right click on your Default Connection
Usually Local Area Connection for Cable and DSL
Left click on Properties
Double-Click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item
Select the radio dial that says Obtain DNS Servers Automatically
Note: Do this for all Network Connections
Press OK twice to get out of the properties screen and reboot if it asks
Bingo - you have resolved my (JUPK.COM &) BXNU.COM problem after 3 days of tearing my PC apart, and worrying if my bank account was still intact. When I switched on today, after taking her indors out shopping, it now works normally!!!! I can only presume that late last night when I transferred from "Safe Mode" to full Windows XP, I did it selecting the "Restart" key as opposed to a full mains switch off and a fresh restart from the mains supply? Today with a standard start from the mains switch everything is working as it should be, I now have access to all my emails beginning ***.co.uk and web addresses access to www.—-.co.uk sites etc. It was interesting that with JUPK.COM or BXNU.COM present, I was still able to access web sites ending www.***.net, .com etc. but not .co.uk? I hate to think what would have happened if www.****.com had also been barred!! and no access to your wonderful expertise if .org had been hijacked. The fact that I had an additional email address with the ".com" sufix was a blessing, since it allowed me to access and log onto your web site and receive excellent support emails. reference your last request, I see no point now in going to the Control Panel and "flushing it out" as the parameters under the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), headed "Obtain DNS Servers Automatically" and the "Preferred and Alternative DNS Server" fields are blanked out, however if you want me to do this, I will happily comply? Once again thanks for your help and a donation will be made to your site for your exceptional service.
Good Job

Log looks good :D

You need to create a new Clean restore point.

Note: This will remove all previous Restore Points

Turn off System Restore:

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Restart your computer, turn it back on.

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Remove the Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Double-click My Computer.
Click the Tools menu, and then click Folder Options.
Click the View tab.
Check "Hide file extensions for known file types."
Under the "Hidden files" folder, Uncheck "Show hidden files and folders."
Check "Hide protected operating system files."
Click Apply, and then click OK.

If you dont have any programs like these, I would recommend that you get them.
Spywareblaster,
Spywareguard.
IE Spyads
They will add 1000's of sites to your resticted zone and block some hijacks from happening.

Also get a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.

Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on. Both are available below.

Safe Surfing. :D
