please help, computer crashes and freezes all the time

Hi there,
need help instantly, since a couple of weeks my computer either crashes, shuts itself down, restarts or freezes when the screensaver is on.
I ran Spyware AVG free edition and AVG spyware and it found a Trojan Horse - Trojanhorse.downloader.istbar, downloader.istbar.jm and downloader.openstream.y
I quarantined and deleted them but the problem is still there. Then I downloaded hijack this and the logfile for it is below…..any help with this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum, we have some work to do.

1) You are running two antivirus programs at the same time and this is not a good thing. They conflict with each other and you will be less safe than if you ran one good program and maintained it properly. Uninstall one, update the one you keep and run a complete system scan, post for me any item that can't be removed, the complete name and pathway.

2) Move HJT from the Desktop for safety. I prefer C:\HJT\HijackThis.exe, if you need additional instructions use these: http://russelltexas.com/malware/createhjtfolder.htm

3) Follow the direction in this link to run the Symantec Trojan.ISTsvc Removal Tool 1.1.0

4) How to make files and folders visible:
Click Start > Open My Computer.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
Select the View Tab. Under the Hidden files and folders heading, select Show hidden files and folders.
Uncheck: Hide file extensions for known file types
Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
Click Yes to confirm.
Click OK.

5) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune

Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.

6) AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5\guard.exe <<< Deactivate the Resident Shield
- Before proceeding, deactivate the "Resident Shield" as this may prevent changes to the registry.
- To do this, click "Change State" to the right of the Resident Shield option in the main window.
- You will clearly see the status change to Inactive if you have done this correctly.

7) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

8) RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:

(you need to search for this first one, it may be gone, just do not miss it, it is a trojan)

lich.exe <<< delete that file

C:\WINDOWS\fmpjqrb.exe <<< delete that file

C:\Program Files\ISTsvc\ <<< delete that folder if there

9) Restart your computer and run AVG Anti-Spyware according to the direction in this link:

10) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.

Restart the computer and post the scan results from AVG Anti-Spyware and a new HJT log. Let me know how you are running.
