I had a problem a week or so ago and the advice i got from here and the steps to follow did indeed fix my problem which was a result of some harmful things detected in my hijack this log, but those were fixed, and now i have another one! even worse ever since! every single time i turn on my laptop now my computer freezes immediately. i usually have to restart it about 4 or 5 times before it works. also, when i listen to music and stuff everything's fine, but whenever i play a dvd on my laptop the sounds is all distorted, as if someone poured water on it and it sounds all murmered. this happens with every dvd i put in. any suggestions? also one more thing, i have a couple cd burner programs that came with my computer and i test the speed and then try to burn a cd at the recommended speed but they never finish! my laptop' sonly a month old, should i have all these problems?
How many firewalls do you have running active on that machine?
How many AntiVirus utilities do you have running on that machine?
Select one of each and disable the others via MSCONFIG.
Best Regards
to be honest i'm not really sure how many firewalls and antivirus things i have running. these are all my running processes right now if that helps:

Hi,
Sorry to hear of your problem,
Dough has asked me to take a look at this, and if I understand you right, your computer is only a month old.
If this is correct, then my best advice is to take it back to where you bought it, as it will still be under guarantee/warranty, and ask them to fix it.
You may have more than one anti-virus application running on this machine and if the seller provided the machine in that condition then its up to them to fix it by uninstalling one of the anti-virus programmes for you.
As a general guide you should not have more than one Anti-virus application running, and one software firewall at the same time as they tend to conflict, leading to all sort of problems.
Please post back if you require any more information
Regards
