highjackthis log and help to take off anythin thats harmfull PLEASE?

hi iv been given this site to help me with my prob……….i am not very good on computers and am having a nightmare just now, i apparently have a bug affecting my home page as it keeps setting itself to www.google.co.uk and unless i open a page by knowing the full address or by my favourites i am re directed to msn.com (u.s page i think) so i cannot open hardly any pages!!!
i was advised to run a highjackthis test and put my results in here so here they are i really hope u can help me………..i have run adaware and avg anti virus but everytime i delete th buggeres they are back th next day…………im also advised to run these tests in safe mode to make sure they are deleted???

ok maybe was bit of a mess so out off that i have uninstalled…avast 4…….google helpbar……google desktop ………….then went into safe mode and run my adaware and deleted what was found from safe mode…………..i have run another highjackthis test and here are my newer results.

Yes that is quite a little mess you have there.

First Please download Boran Remover from one of the following places and save it to your Desktop:

http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/boran-remover.exe

http://www.techsupportforum.com/sectools/boran-remover.exeClose all open windows.
Double-click boran-remover.exe to start the tool.
Your computer will reboot if an infection is found.
If the tool is unable to neutralize the infection, it will reboot again for another attempt.
When the tool is finished, it will save a log called boran.log in the boran-remover folder on your Desktop.
Next Re Run HijackthisAt the Main window select "Open the misc tool section"
Then select "Open uninstall manager"
Then "save list" and save it to your desktop
Copy and paste that list as a reply to this thread

Your reply should includeyour boran.log
your uninstll_list.txt from Hijackhtis

You did it right

First Go to Add/Remove Programs (Click Start->>Control Panel->>Add/Remove Programs)
and uninstall the following programsMediaGateway
Messenger Plus! 3
Messenger Plus! Live
Pacific Poker
Surf Accuracy
System Process
If you ave any difficulty in uninstalling any of these programs listed, Then boot into Safe Mode and repeat the proceedure.

Then Rerun Hijackthis and post a fresh log

Next Using Windows Explorer(Right click on "Start," select "Explore," and you will see the "tree' of file folders in the left side of the window. Click on the "+" next to any folder name to expand its contents)

could not locate rundll.exe in this folder when i went into c:\program files\common files\
there was another 21 folders…….so i run a search and still could not find it……..or the legit one????

I appreciate your patience in working through this.

You may remove/delete/uninstall the tools we used to clean your PC

The most important thing for you to do now is to go HERE Download and install SP2 (Service Pack 2) It contains many security upgrades to SP1. It is a rather large download, about 2 hrs on a High speed connection. But it is a must have

Now that your log is clean

Your Java is out of date. Older versions have vulnerabilities that malware can use to infect your system.
Please follow these steps to remove older version Java components and update.

Updating Java:Download the latest version of
Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 10.
Scroll down to where it says "The J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) allows end-users to run Java applications".
Click the "Download" button to the right.
Check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement".
The page will refresh.
Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation with or without Multi-language and save to your desktop.
Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name.
Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
Then from your desktop double-click on jre-1_5_0_10-windowsi586-p.exe to install the newest version.
Make your Internet Explorer more secure
This can be done by following these simple instructions:Open Internet Explorer click Tools->> Options.
Click Security tab
Click once on the Internet icon so it becomes highlighted.
Click Custom Level.
Change the Download signed ActiveX controls to Prompt
Change the Download unsigned ActiveX controls to Disable
Change the Initialise and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe to Disable
Change the Installation of desktop items to Prompt
Change the Launching programs and files in an IFRAME to Prompt
Change the Navigate sub-frames across different domains to Prompt
When all these settings have been made, click OK.
If it prompts you to save the settings, press Yes.
Next press Apply and then OK to exit the Internet Properties page
Update your Anti Virus Software
