I have been having trouble with the firstadsolution adware and now the celladoor adware. I have Trend micro PC-Cillin which is up to date and the trial version of AVG Anti-spyware. Both are run on a reguler basis.

This one could take a while because I have been flogged by viruses a few times now.

My HJT log is below.

Hi, Welcome to Tom Coyotes! I'm Angelfire777 and it'll be my pleasure to assist you in your problem. Researching Hijackthis logs could take sometime so please, be patient while I research a fix for you. Also, I have to let experts check my fixes first before bringing them to you. Please hold on.
WildTangent asserts that the software bundle is safe, but many antispyware programs classify it as adware/spyware, mainly because it reports activity and games played to various servers. Some experts feel that WildTangent's software is safe but consider it to be foistware because it is often installed without the user's knowledge or express consent. It doesn't spy or deliver advertising, but it is generally unwanted. I recommend that you remove it.

If you decided to uninstall it, Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > uninstall the items in bold if found.

WildTangent

Reboot

Cheers,

There is no NoLop log as there was no infection found the second time around.

Cheers,

You have remnants of Norton Internet Security which you probably uninstalled before. Please use THIS tool to completely remove all the Norton related products on your machine.

Make sure you can still view your hidden files.

Open Windows Explorer by hitting your Windows Key + E at the same time.
*If you do not have a Windows Key, double click My Computer > Click the folders icon

Then navigate to these folders and delete them:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Biashidesupportbarb
C:\Documents and Settings\Simon\Application Data\Cakebuildexit

Empty your Recycle Bin.
____________________________

*HijackThis needs to be in its own folder:

a.) While in your Desktop, right click in the background > Go to New > click Folder > Name the Folder HJT

b.) After creating the folder, find your HijackThis.exe (it looks like a detonator with some dynamites). Then, drag and drop that file to the new folder you created.

*Open HijackThis > choose Scan Only > Place a checkmark in the boxes beside these entries in bold.

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page =

Since the following entry is running from your temporary folder, it is unneeded by your system.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ImInstaller_IncrediMail] C:\DOCUME~1\Simon\LOCALS~1\Temp\ImInstaller\IncrediMail\incredimail_install[1].exe -startup -product IncrediMail

Close your browsers and all open windows except for HijackThis, then click "Fix checked".

Thanks again for you help.

It seems that you still have remnants of Norton there even after you ran the removal tool.. Let's remove it manually.

*Open HijackThis > choose Scan Only > Place a checkmark in the boxes beside these entries in bold.

O23 - Service: Automatic LiveUpdate Scheduler - Unknown owner - C:\Program Files\Symantec\LiveUpdate\ALUSchedulerSvc.exe (file missing)

Close your browsers and all open windows except for HijackThis, then click "Fix checked".

*Open notepad.
Copy and paste the text inside the Code Box below into Notepad
Choose File > Save As and under "Save as type", choose "All Files".
Type delservices.bat in the File name and save it to your desktop.

@echo off
sc stop "Automatic LiveUpdate Scheduler"
sc delete "Automatic LiveUpdate Scheduler"

Locate delservices.bat on your Desktop and double-click on it.

*Open Windows Explorer by hitting your Windows Key + E at the same time.
If you do not have a Windows Key, double click My Computer > Click the folders icon

*Do you recognize the following files? It seems that there are webpages from your Outlook Express inbox that are suspicious.. If you do not know where these zip files came from, please delete them.

C:\6Ta02448.zip
C:\Aptiva old files.zip

*The following files were flagged by kaspersky as virus.. If you didn't create these files and documents, please delete them..

C:\Documents and Settings\Simon\My Documents\Army\ASC and other Arty TMP's\Ninox\Lesson Plans and Powerpoint\LESSON PLANS\Lesson Plan RAInf Fieldcraft.doc
C:\Documents and Settings\Simon\My Documents\Army\ASC and other Arty TMP's\Ninox\NFE 2000.zip

*You may delete NoLop's backup folder since the infection has been cleared already.

C:\NoLopBackups

*Delete this remnant from Norton too:

C:\Program Files\Norton AntiVirus

Empty your Recycle bin.

Reboot and post a fresh HijackThis log please.
Here is the HJT log from the latest removals. My PC is running a lot more smoothly now. Cheers.
