I could use some help now if anyone has time. Thanks! :(
Downloaded Hijack This and renamed it Analyze.exe as directed to Salud. Results below.
Downloaded ATF Cleaner by Atribune and ran the program, selected, and emptied selected.
Ran Panda Active Scan and found 10 items that need to be deleated, tried to buy the $12.95 6 mo version to save myself some time and it wouldn't finish the checkout. Got to check if I was billed twice.

Hello CitizenJohn, welcome to the forum. without looking at what Ken did in the other topic, let me say that these infections are rarely the same, and Ken tailored that fix to the infection on that computer. While I could be wrong, I see a Wareout infection on your computer, not Vundo. Often you just muddy the waters running stuff if you are not sure and make it more difficult for us to help you.

1) You may want to print out these instructions for reference, since you will have to restart your computer during the fix. Thanks to LonnyRJones and anyone else who helped with the fix.

Please download FixWareout from one of these sites:
http://downloads.subratam.org/Fixwareout.exe
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/lonny/Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your Desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, then make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish. The fix will begin; follow the prompts. You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.

At the end of the fix, you may need to restart your computer again.

Finally, please post a fresh HijackThis log, along with the contents of the logfile C:\fixwareout\report.txt

(hold those logs until you finish the instructions)

Now lets check some settings on your system.

PS Kelly thank you very much. :D I believe that you have fixed my computer. Test searches are not being redirected at this time.
I could not find 04 - HKLM … Run: [dmubl.exe] C: Windows system32 dmubl.exe on the Hijackthis scan nor could I find it in C: Windows system 32 dmubl.exe
I have McAfee virus protection and Microsoft virus protection and firewall. Would you recommend McAfee firewall also?
I also have Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware.
I got infected anyway with spyware. I have been running medium-high security.
Any other suggestions?
Here is my data:

Use one or more of these free online scanners to find out, if it is bad navigate to it and delete it:
http://virusscan.jotti.org/
http://www.kaspersky.com/scanforvirus
http://www.virustotal.com/flash/index_en.html

You HJT log appears to be clean of malware. To answer your questions, when we finish I will give you links with advice from several experts in the security and malware prevestion business. If, after reading what they have to say you still have questions, please post them and I will do my very best to answer them.

Because Panda located adware not in the log, I would like to run one more scan to make sure nothing is hiding, if this is ok with you.

Follow the instructions in this link, make sure you delete or at least quarantine what is located and save that Report-Scan.txt.
http://www.virusvault.co.uk/fusionbb/showtopic.php?tid/33/
Thanks to John McKenna for the great tutorial

Post the Report-Scan.txt and a new HJT log for a last look. Let me know you were able to remove the file you scanned. If all is still well at that point, I will get you on the road.

Thanks…Phil
Hello CitizenJohn!

Sorry about the delay in responding :(

If you still need help, scan again with HijackThis, and copy/paste a new log file into this thread.

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.

Please use the [external image: Posted Image] Button below to reply. Thanks
PS Kelley and Trogan 1000
And I thought all was well:
Phil: I'm on dial up and I didn't do too well on the http://virusscan.jotti.org/ I couldn't find the C: Windows System32 DMIXC. EXE and I did a search on Explore for Wareout and I probably did the wrong search with the anti-spyware. Anyway here is what I did:
I did some better on the VirusVault search.

VirusTotal is a free service offered by Hispasec Sistemas. There are no guarantees about the availability and continuity of this service. Although the detection rate afforded by the use of multiple antivirus engines is far superior to that offered by just one product, these results DO NOT guarantee the harmlessness of a file. Currently, there is not any solution that offers a 100% effectiveness rate for detecting viruses and malware.

_I didn't follow John McKenna's tutorial completely correctly since I didn't quite understand the DOS part but managed to find 58 viruses anyway. I also downloaded their Free Ware.
Gentlemen, I can't tell you how much I appreciate your help and the 'Tom Coyote' website. :D
I hope that you have a great Thanksgiving.!!!!!

So you know, the other helper posted to the topic because you started more that one topic. This is not a good thing to do as it can waste the efforts of a helper when you are already receiving suppot.

Did you use Search Companion? If not Start > Search > All files and folders and make sure you allow time for Search Companion to search all file. You will need All files and folders visiable as in the earlier instructions. When Search Companion tells you it is done searching and can not locate the file, be assured it is gone. C:\WINDOWS\system32\dmubl.exe

I don't know what scan you ran with the AVG ANTI-Spyware scanner, please run it again with these instruction. I do see the online version of ewidoOnlineScan in your log, it is important that you download and run the version I have posted for you.

______________________________________________________________________

Download and install the trial version of AVG Anti-Spyware.

The program should launch automatically after installation. If not, double-click the desktop icon.

Deactivate the Resident Shield

- Before proceeding, deactivate the "Resident Shield" as this may prevent changes to the registry.
- To do this, click "Change State" to the right of the Resident Shield option in the main window.
- You will clearly see the status change to Inactive if you have done this correctly.

Update AVG's Definitions

- AVG automatically updates the spyware definitions if you are connected to the net during installation.
- As a precaution, click the "Update" icon from the main menu.
- Then click the "Start Update" button.
- When you receive the "Update successful" prompt, close AVG.
- Note: If you have any problems with the updater, you can Update AVG Manually.

Restart your computer in Safe Mode

- Restart your computer.
- After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, press F8.
- Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu should appear.
- Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode.
- Further instructions on Safe Mode can be found here.

Scanning with AVG Anti-Spyware

- Open AVG Anti-Spyware and click the "Scanner" icon from the main menu.
- Click "Complete System Scan" to start scanning.
- When the scan completes, click "Recommended action" beneath the results window and select Quarantine.
- Then click the "Apply all actions" button to quarantine everything detected.
- Then click > Save report as and save the Report-Scan.txt to your desktop.

Close AVG Anti-Spyware and restart your machine to complete the removal process.

Post the Report-Scan.txt I have bolded for you and let me know if Search Companion found anything. Post a fresh HJT log also so I can keep an eye on it.

Thanks
Sorry about the two posts, didn't realize how posts are assigned. I thought that I could cancel a slightly incorrect post with a second post.
In any case I believe that I have done what you asked correctly.
If "Search Companion" is soft ware I don't have it. If you meant to go to the Start Button and search from there then I did that and did not locate the file.

Thanks!
Thanks for the feedback, your HJT log looks fine as do the results of the AVG Anti-Spyware scan. I would say you are good to go. Let's clean out System Restore like this:
1. Turn off System Restore.
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

2. Reboot.

3. Turn ON System Restore,
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

AVG Anti-Spyware is a good program but it does use some resources. Once the trial is over you can update and use the scanner for as long as you wish, but unless you purchase it you should turn it off completely so it does not run unless you start it manually.

Here is some great information from Tony Klein, Texruss, ChrisRLG and Grinler to help you stay clean and safe online:
