system doctor <– This is a rogue anti spyware program but I dont see it on your HJT log.

Lets do a few things.

DO THIS FIRST
Your HIJACKTHIS program is current, but it is very important that it resides in its own folder.
We will use Hijackthis (HJT) to make changes to your system and HJT will make backups of those changes,
If HJT is not in its own folder, those backups could be lost.

Easy to fix.
  • just go to My Computer > YOUR C:\ DRIVE > Program Files and create a new folder and name it Hijackthis .
  • Now scroll to where you have HJT currently, right click on the HJT icon and select CUT .
  • Now open the new folder you just created and right click within that folder and select PASTE .
  • Now HJT should reside in C:\Program Files\Hijackthis\Hijackthis.exe
Please do not proceed until you have moved HJT

Then look in your Add-Remove Programs in the Control Panel for System Doctor and uninstall it if its present. If its there or not, make sure you still have windows enabled to show all files and folders and go to C:\Program Files and look for System Doctor, if its there, delete the whole folder, you will most likely have to be in safemode to do this.

Now go to where you have HJT installed, open up the HJT folder and right click on the HJT icon ( looks like a red stick of dynamite with a plunger ) and click on Rename and rename it to Analyze.exe , run the scan and post a new log.
okay, so heres the latest. did not find that folder anywhere. changed hijack this to analyze and created a folder. when i just got home from work, there was a bunch of windows popped up and 3 viruses caught on my norton. Drive Cleaner, Error safe, And WinFixer. I think my computer is angry with me. heres the next HJT log

thanks so much for the help, let me know what i should try next
OK, your log looks fine  You should not be getting those virus warnings anymore with the last entries we removed with HJT.

You need to go to the Add-Remove progams in the Control Panel and uninstall these programs.

LimeWire 4.12.6
Limewire along with all the other file and music sharing programs are bad news, the garbage that comes along with the downloads and sharing is what got you into trouble in the first place.

WONswap I don't know exactly what this is but its being flagged as bad on many forums.

Winfixer is part of the Vundo family of infections and vundobegone found nothing

How is your system running now??
got rid of lime wire and wonswap. im assuming any peer to peer like lime wire is gonna harm my system. system seems good right now, but it seemed fine yesterday too, then it had popup downloads last night and today while i was at work. still cant get on email, and still cannot update ad aware or the AVG program for some reason. checked all my internet settings, cant find anything . i guess i can call my ISP tomorrow and see if they have any idea why i cant get it to work.
Lets keep an eye on this, I will leave this thread open for you in case you have to post back. Use the links in my signature to download and install the Firefox browser, I think you will be pleasantly surprised at how nice it is besides the fact of it being more secure than IE. Then see if you can access those sites.
still having the autodownloading popups while im gone. today i had this website

Bad link removed

and system doctor and drivecleaner all pop up while i was at work. AVG and norton both pop up to catch them, but the constant closing of windows is getting tedious. i know we removed everything, do you think there is anything else that i didnt find that could be causing this?
Lets do this.

Download and Save Blacklight to your desktop:
  • Double-click blbeta.exe
  • Then accept the agreement
  • leave [X]scan through Windows Explorer checked.
  • Click > scan then > next
  • You'll see a list of all items found. There will also be a log on your desktop with the name fsbl.xxxxxxx.log (the xxxxxxx stand for numbers).
  • Copy and paste this log in your next reply.
  • Don't choose the rename option yet! I want to see the log first, because legitimate items can also be present there, such as "wbemtest.exe"

I need you to run Panda again, I need to see the whole report not what you said it removed, paste the entire report into this thread. Run Housecall also.

Housecall << Panda ActiveScan <—-Accept default settings

Let me see Blacklight, Panda a new HJT log
could not access the backlight web page. "page could not be displayed" same thing that happens when i try to go to email. Housecall crash the web browser everytime, something with java.dll i tried to download java… also could not access the actual download at javas website. heres the panda log and the new HJT

slez81,

I have to tell you, I have been at this for over 3 years and I have never run into a log with so many roadblocks, which some are not your fault. I saw markers in your log for different infections, we removed those entries and run the scans and they come up clean. Most of what I have asked you to do has run into one problem or another and we you can't complete the task. I am about out of ideas.

Remove this entry with HJT.

Lets run this other tool and see if it removes anything, even if it does not, it will show me some files that have been installed in the last 30 days that may be bad.

Please download ComboFix by sUBs from either of these two locations

BleepingComputerComboFix
TechSupportForumComboFix
  • Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
  • When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply along with a new HJT log please.
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall.

Post the results of Combofix.

I am going to have to find more help from one of the more advanced members of this forum.

Ken
sorry this one has been such a pain, i really appreaciate your help. heres the combo fix log and a new HJT log

Nothing to be sorry about, this is just a frustrating log. The dirt bags that write this stuff find new ways to hide there files all the time.

While I am looking over your new log and the Combofix log, one of my peers said that you still maybe infected with Haxdoor. It was one of the first programs we ran, we only ran option 1 and nothing showed up but there are entries in Panda that may show its still present. I am providing a link to Haxdoor in case you removed it . Lets run Option # 2 and see what it comes up with.

Download haxfix.exe.
and save it to your desktop.

* Open this folder program files > haxfix and double click on fix.bat (or double click on fix.bat desktop icon)
* Close all other open windows since this step requires a reboot
* Select option 2. Run auto fix by typing 2 and then pressing Enter

If an infection is found, you'll get a message to close all other open windows.

* Close all open windows except the red dos window from haxfix and then press Enter
* The computer will reboot
* After reboot a logfile will open > (c:\haxfix.txt)
* Post the contents of that logfile along with a new HijackThis log.
alrighty, there was no pop up windows when i got home from work today, so thats a good sign, but still cant update and still no email access. heres the haxfix log and the new HJT log

let me know what you think.

thanks

chris :D

Sorry for the delay in responding, I guess we had some server problems today.

This may have been the culprit
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\flashdrv3.sys
We ran it through Killbox before but I guess it didn't delete, but it looks like Haxdoor fix removed it.

Make sure you still have windows enabled to show all files and folders and you may have to boot to safemode to delete this folder.

C:\Program Files\WON

Run this other cleaner, be sure to run the issues scan because Panda showed some registry entries for Haxdoor .

If you don't want the Yahoo Toolbar, be sure to uncheck it during installation
Download and Install CCleaner
* Click on Run Cleaner
* Run the Issues Scan < – After it scans your system, when you click on the Fix button and it asks you to backup the Registry..Say Yes
Tutorial for CCleaner

The rest of your log looks fine, but I will keep this thread open for you for a week or so in case you need to post back.
