Copy and paste the contents of the quote box below into notepad.

Save it as file name: "bit10.reg" (not including the quotes). Save as file type: *All files* and save it on your Desktop.

Then, locate bit10.reg on your desktop and it.

You will receive a prompt similar to: "Do you wish to merge the information into the registry?".

Answer 'Yes' and wait for a message to appear similar to "Merged Successfully".

Reboot.

Delete this folder (if present):

C:\Program Files\Softwin\BitDefender10

Try again to install it.

I rebooted my system and went into the programs folder to delete bitdefender 10, but once again, it was not there?

That's OK. Did you get the new version installed?

yes, but the only way I could install it was by going into regedit and deleting everything that had the word bitdefender in it. After that, it would let me install. Prior to that I received message saying it was already intalled. Thanks, rumdup
