Hijackthis Log Help Please

Hey Tate, do you think that you could PM me with an AIM contact to speak with you in person. I realize that this could probably be made a lot more efficient that way, though it would prevent you from helping others for a bit. Let me know, thanks! And to answer your question, no I didn't remove the files you listed yet because I am still trying to fix the application errors that I keep getting. I noticed that the errors occur only when I open Maplestory.exe, and its showing up errors for programs that the file is not associated with. So Tate, should I try removing the programs you suggested first or try to fix these errors I am encountering?

If you want Maplestory then don't fix this one:

Some of these aren't bad but are resource hogs and not needed at startup.

You stated your system is slow. We're trying to limit the startup items. The only bad one in the log is:

Well, I removed the files you suggested and here is the new log file. Let me know if you see anything wrong with my computer and also what I can do to fix my application error problem. Thanks.

You need to update SunJava.
Updating Java:
Download the latest version of Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 9.
  • Scroll down to where it says "The J2SE Runtime Environment (JRE) allows end-users to run Java applications".
  • Click the "Download" button to the right.
  • Check the box that says: "Accept License Agreement".
  • Click on the link to download Windows Offline Installation with or without Multi-language and save to your desktop.
  • Close any programs you may have running - especially your web browser.
  • Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on Add/Remove programs and remove all older versions of Java.
  • Check any item with Java Runtime Environment (JRE or J2SE) in the name. It should have the [external image: Posted Image] icon next to it.
  • Click the Remove or Change/Remove button.
  • Repeat as many times as necessary to remove each Java versions.
  • Reboot your computer once all Java components are removed.
  • Then from your desktop double-click on jre-1_5_0_09-windowsi586-p.exe to install the newest version.
After the above

Run hijackthis. Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side on these:

Close ALL windows and browsers except HijackThis and click "Fix checked"
