To those who can help I ask Recently I have noticed my e-mail program takes forever to open ( approx 2 mins) It use to open almost instantaneously…The program is Incredimail (latest version)..This is the only program that appears to be slow that I am noticing…I have the same program on my wifes computer and hers is fine….I was trying various things to find a cure such as ran virus scans ( Norton security 2006 ) ran spyware scans (Sunbelt's Counterspy as well as Lavasoft's Ad aware ) checked running programs and tasks as well as services ( Winpatrol ) I consistantly run Microsoft's disk cleaner as well as a good defrag program so it is not clutter related All the afforementioned programs are up to date with latest definitions…I also did the old %temp% in the run box and found these and I am no able to delete them…They are as follows ~DF68EE ~DF8510 ~DF8547 ~DFB273 ~DFF765 Does anyone know what these are and what I can do to get rid of them if they are indeed the problem…By the way I did try uninstalling Incredimail and reinstalling to no avail.. I do not know if it matters but I am running a Intel P4 2.8 gig processor with hyperthreading as well as 2 gigs of pc4000 ram…I also do not have a lot on this computer as it is mostly for games I do have Hijack this installed and did not see anything out of the ordinary in the log but I am no expert at these problems…All help will be appreciated………Thanks Drew
forgot the log !!

Baffles me but as I said I am no expert…..
After researching this a little more and checking other advice I downloaded and installed ewido… I did the updates and settings as everyone suggests and then booted into safe mode,,,ran a complete scan and nothing was found other than one tracking cookie…quarantined it as advised..still having the problem of overall extreme slow down….I also recently installed a larger monitor.(from a 19"lcd to a 24"lcd and although I am not positive that appears to be around the time that it happened….My video card and pc are more than powerful enough to operate this monitor so I do not think that would have anything to do with this.. also there was no software or drivers to install as it is simply plug and play….There have been many a late night trying to figure this out so any help would be appreciated…I have now run 3 different anti virus scans from 3 different companies as well as running scans for malware from ad-ware, Counterspy,Spysweeper,,Spybot and of course Ewido,,….I am about ready to wipe the system and reinstall…..HELP PLEASE !!!
