ProtectionID (annoying thing)

Can someone help me remove this from the registry? I believe it'd rid me of a problem. i was kinda hoping Micah 6:8 was around to remove this, he normally does the job very well

If you can't find "Scan With ProtectionID" (or something similar) in "Add/remove programs", try this:

Copy and paste the contents of the quote box below into notepad.

Save it as file name: "fixme.reg" (not including the quotes). Save as file type: *All files* and save it on your Desktop.

REGEDIT4

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Classes\*\shell\Scan With ProtectionID]

Then, locate fixme.reg on your desktop and it.

You will receive a prompt similar to: "Do you wish to merge the information into the registry?".

Answer 'Yes' and wait for a message to appear similar to "Merged Successfully".

Reboot.
